Yes, but players constantly improve in basketball just like any sport. If you look at any players career stats at any level, you will notice that he improves as he gets older up to the prime of their career.


99.9% of players will be better at basketball at 22 years of age compared to 18 years of age.

What about Andre Drummond? Andrew Bynum?

If Shaq had left after year 1, he would have likely been average at best his first couple years too.

No NBA defender will come out to guard Ben outside the lane, unless he develops a jump shot, which he'll have to do from scratch because he has zero now. Without a mid-range jumper, Ben will struggle mightily in the half court set.

I'm pretty sure you underestimate NBA coaching and how much a shot can improves when you can practice ok day.

Of course I understand a shot can improve, but most good shooters enter the league with at least some ability to shoot. Ben has absolutely no jumper at all. None.

He'll be starting from ground zero. Not saying it can't be done, but he got a long way to go.
