Jefferson did not.

Don't be a dumbass. Miles has never started a season intending to play a freshman. In 2008 he alternated between Andrew Hatch and Jarrett Lee only because Perrilloux had been dismissed from the team. Other than that season, he has never started a freshman at QB.

I was really intrigued by Rettig until I saw him in the HS all-star game. What I saw was so bad that I felt it unlikely that he would ever be a decent college QB. He has a strong arm but no composure. He just sprayed the ball around. Thank goodness A.J. turned out good.
