It certainly is about money. But for me, LSU sports is about more than money. It's one of the few things that I'll support regardless of the product. I'll bitch and complain about it sometimes, but I'll still yield my undying support to it.

+1. It is embarrassing to have the turnout LSU had yesterday. It is also embarrassing reading some of the excuses for the lousy turnout. It used to be that LSU needed to get rid of Brady, then LSU had terrible turnouts the following season when they had a top 25 team. When LSU was playing decent earlier the year, you read LSU fans making excuses about it being Valentine's day or the first weekend of baseball.
Reading this thread and previous threads, it is essentially a bunch of people saying "if everything goes exactly to my liking (coach you want, style you want, with the results you want), then i might show up." That is a pretty shitty fanbase.

I didn't need to refer to your as that when you basically confirmed as much and told us you were. I don't know how old are you are and I really don't give a shite. I'm old enough. Second, UK football, which is by I think anyone's account pretty horrible, has averaged at its worst season since expanding in 1999 to fill 80% of its stadium. That's better than LSU did this year in basketball, by far.

LSU basketball geeks tilting at windmills because more fans didn't take off work to be present at a lost cause.
Like another poster said, some of you guys need to get off Mom & Dad's tit and find jobs. There's more important shite in life.

Again, nobody said for anyone to do this. I couldn't go, and I'm not here telling people they should have been there. But Hickey was asked a question, and our fanbase wants to bitch and moan because he was right. Our fan support for basketball is pathetic. Plain and simple.
