Really? We never left off the throttle the whole game, we played a trap game after the bama game to a rival teams and still handily beat them. I don’t know about y’all, but at no point yesterday was I worried they would beat us. We jumped up on them huge and then let off the gas.
This is a team with wins against 4 top ten teams at the time, who if any of them (besides maybe Texas) has beat us would probably still be in the top ten. We have a probable Heisman winning QB and an offense that’s the best LSU offense to ever play. Sit back and enjoy this, it may never come again. Our defense makes plays when it matters and when it doesn’t the offense is right there to save them.

They werent going to win because their defense was horrible as well.

Do you feel good about giving up over 600 yards of offense to Ole Miss?

It's really quite simple. Since Thomas and Divinity have left, LSU only gives meaningful snaps to 4 defensive linemen, 5 linebackers, 4 corners and 3 safeties.

That's a depth issue.

That’s a whole lot of words to try and excuse another poor defensive showing.

Plumlee is a true freshman who is so bad at throwing the ball, Ole Miss puts in another QB for passing situations. Despite this; he ran for over 200 yards.

Aranda isn’t a sacred cow. The defense has been poor all year long.

We gave up over 600yds to Ole Miss. What in the hell do you think OSU or Clemson will do if we don't get it together?

We couldn’t really play our back up QB until very late in the game because of our bad defense. That alone is telling.

Everyone thinks that Ole Miss is a total dumpster fire.

Ole Miss leads the conference in rushing per game.

Ole Miss is #3 in the conference in Total Offense behind LSU and Bama.

Their weakness is that they have no defense.

We won’t get it together this year because we don’t have the horses to do it. We will just have to keep out scoring opponents and I think we will.

I hope you're right about being able to outscore.

I don't like being in the position that we were against UF and Bama, and now fricking Ole Miss: "all we need is one stop and we win"

No, but they did nothing in the first half. All I’m saying is that our defense (who has a lot of banged up and injured players) played a bad half of football with a commanding lead to a lesser team and everyone’s freaking out. We didn’t lose a game or anything. We’re fine.

It is what it is. The talent on D was seriously overrated on this board this year and a lot of people bought into it and can’t let go of it. Losing Divinty was just icing on the cake too, he is severely missed right now.

We don’t have the horses to do it? That’s absolutely ridiculous. We beat Alabama and Texas (Who had their best performance of the year against us) on the road. As well, we beat Auburn and Florida and have stepped up when the time was needed. Saying we don’t have the horses is absolutely absurd. This team can beat any team in the nation. Teams play down to their competition all the time, we do it on the road against an SEC west foe with a good offense one half and the sky is falling.

I realize that but I’m talking about fixing our issues on the DL mainly. We generate basically zero pass rush from them and have very little quality depth.
