Kingy, I'm not posting this to single you out or to pick on you at all. This is just the first example I came across this not morning that was talking about lying and such. Personally I would love if we could get away from calling each other liars all the time. I for one pride myself on being a truthful person and being called a liar doesn't sit well with me personally. I haven't been keeping up with all of these threads so I may be way out of bounds here, but IMO calling someone a liar just seems like it's going to escalate things even more. In no way am I trying to be the board police are trying to tell you what you can and can't post. This is merely a suggestion and I could be 100% wrong here. I think you can be a good poster at times. It may be my own sensitivity to being called a liar because I try to always be truthful.

It's a lot of people Ben and it seems to be really escalating lately by both sides of the Orgeron argument. It's simply my outsider's view. If I'm being honest it really turns me off to the football discussions. I think the hope is that when football season gets closer that all of this nastiness will stop. I just hope we haven't passed the point of no return because it seems to be all of the regulars that are involved. I think it shows the passion that we all have for the team, but I would like to see some more constructive discussion if at all possible. But, if others disagree with me then they should post what they want to post. This simply my idea and suggestion.

I feel the same way which is why it really sticks in my crawl when someone outright lies immediately after I post the clear truth. If you’ll look back a short ways you’ll see Ben say over and over that I accused him of claiming words in a post he made about Brady and Henson’s time split at Michigan that was written by someone else. He knows damn well i never made that claim and I even spelled it out for him clearly about a page ago to which he replied with the same exact accusation. And he’s done this kindve thing several times in this very thread. He’s lying scum, he’s the worst poster on this board when it comes to conduct and civility by far and I won’t take back what I said about him. I do however apologize to Buckeye for lumping him in and putting him on the same plane as Ben. I may disagree with Buckeye and find some of the things he says incredibly out of touch with reality but he doesn’t strike me as a liar of Bens ilk. The only time I’ve witnessed him do it was about a week ago but he had been cornered in something he said and it felt more to me like him just lashing out emotionally than a calculated lie the way Ben does. So I agree with you in part but some of these guys behave beyond the pale so I meet them in kind and I can’t apologize for that. We wanna talk football not defend against political style propaganda and attacks from one certain group.

I'm guilty of it too. I've called people liar here plenty of times. The average poster has no reason to lie. I copied and pasted an article word for word last night and got called a liar. I also got accused of not knowing what certain words in the article meant as if I was responsible for those words being used in the article. How does someone think that is rational?
There are a couple of trolls here who have no problem lying to get a reaction out of people.
I don't have a solution. I believe some of it has gone too far. I'll never be able to post in a cordial manner to certain posters here.

I don't want to derail the thread too much, but I will say this about Ben. I think deep down that he's a good, passionate person. I used to abuse the drugs he is on for a long, long time and it's very easy to get somewhat confused or misread things. I try to cut him some slack in that area. I've found that if he says something that doesn't make a lot of sense and you question him nicely about that he will respond in a cordial manner.

That’s fine, I’m not privy to his illness but if he’s got one fine if he gets confused but that in noway gives him the right to use the vitriol he does on innocent people or weaponize his illness the way he does. The guy is as low as they come, of course I wish him a full recovery but he’s no good. Earlier some guy asked us to chill out and he called him insane and basically a piece of shite. It was the first post the guy made in the thread, he hadn’t singled anyone out or used any rough language he just said maybe we all needed to cool it and Ben basically said he wanted to rip his head off. The guy is a psychopath.

I'm usually about as a nice a guy as you will find. But, when I abusing Oxycontin and Roxycontin everyone says I was a complete a-hole all the time. Take that FWIW. I can't speak to how it affects other people. Anyways, I think we are all passionate fans and would love to see this thing get back to some heated football discussion and not an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

I know that you mean well but my medications have very little to do with this. The madking guy has obvious mental issues. He never has to respond to a single post of mine yet he continues to do so with an extreme level of vitriol. You see him right now. There's the answer to your question. I tried to talk rationally to him last night which he responded with a bunch of name calling. He's calling me names this morning. If I respond by calling him names there'll be a couple of posters show up to claim that I attacked him for no reason. I can't be cordial to them either.
This board went to shite when people started being identified as O sycophants and you started hearing that propaganda shite and the board moderates didn't step up and shut it down. I believe that this was because those people were scared of being called o sycophants. No matter what a regular conversation can't be had.
