Andre Sale eligibility this season

Just to clear up some misstatements being thrown around in various QB threads, Sale transferred in this Spring from a FCS school and would have to sit this year unless granted a waiver., He would not be the 3rd string QB if two QB’s transfer out. Some media are saying that he received a waiver, but the roster info shows him as a TR, and I don’t see any reports of a waiver being granted. Please correct me (and LSUsports.net) if anyone has confirmed information to the contrary.
