genious isn't needed if you remove blinders... and I'd be happy if Lee could manage to evolve into a just a decent bu qb, but ole pick6 was back in fine form for the spring game.

lot of idiots on that dd poll last week huh?

Correct, now you get it. Yes, a lot of idiots who think they are better qualified to start a qb than the coaching staff.
If coaches say Lee wins job and outperforms JJ, I'm all for him.
BTW, what % of those votes were yours?

He looked amazing against Bama in the NC game.

Considering he probably had very little prep time and certainly wasn't mentally prepared to play, Gilbert vs. Bama>>>>>>>than our QB's vs. Bama. Oh yeah, and UTw had virtually no rushing attack, for those that claim that is the only thing separating JJ from MF (which is a total joke) .

From Day 1 I never thought JJ had the instincts or QB natural skills we needed to take us back to the top, and his lack of development (on GC's head) and worsening "I ate a turd when you dropped the ball or I threw it at your feet" look on the field is very distressing. If I hear that he is really working his rear off in the film room and 7 on 7 and other drills all summer, my optimism might increase, right now, I fear we are going to repeat most of our frustrations from last year. Possible improvements in our rushing attack offset by a tougher schedule.

if it's a joke, provide stats as to why
should be easy right?

That's because we have been focusing too much on recruiting. I think it is time that we invest in abducting. I mean white panel van snatching the quarterback off the street abducting. If you are honest with yourself you will have to admit that this is the only way.

He was 15 of 40, 186 yards...and 4 INTS.......our QBS looked ama

JJ was 10 of 17 for 114, 1 TD and 0 picks prior to injury.

So yeah, Garrett was much better

i support whoever the frick is quarterbacking LSU on the field. i'll be upset at the bad stuff that happens no matter who is in, but i'll be supportive

does anyone think JJ will be on an NFL roster one day? not that this has an impact on him being a successful college quarterback, but can anyone see him getting to the next level?

come on, the circumstances were a little different. obviously Gilbert was a true freshman (in the NCG), and after a shaky start he put the team in position to take the lead (before the sack/fumble). wasn't everyone cutting JJ all sorts of slack for being a young quarterback? i think he can be cut more slack for being thrown into that position

you'd rather JJ instead of Gilbert?

read my post again. i didn't say there is a rule that great college qb = great nfl qb. i was asking opinions, but apparently you don't want to pay attention to what i asked

and apparently you don't understand how college football is not relevant to a lot of situations regarding pro football

I don't think any qb on lsu's roster will ever start on an NFL team

does that answer your question?

I dont know.

I have seen Garrett play once and he was in way over his head.

I am of the camp that until MOST QB's are JRs you just dont know about em. There are the rare exceptions, but most just dont grasp offenses at the higher levels till about 3 years of exposure.

I sure has hell would not start a post about getting QBs "near the level of Garrett" based on reports out of a SPRING game.

SEC defenses have a way of sobering up a QB.

for the most part, i agree. rarely does a quarterback succeed for a full year before being in his 3rd year. i'm also of the opinion that a system has a hell of a lot to do with a quarterback's success

I dont understand what people dont get about 1500 yards being a big difference maker, that's an average of 115yd/gm.

We lost by two points in two games, and 9 and ten points against BAMA(14-0 SEC champ and NatChamp) and FLORIDA(13-1 SEC Eastchamp).

The defense provided enough of a road block to put us ahead in at least two of those games by scoring a field goal. You dont think 115yds against Ole Miss, or Penn St could of won us those games? If you don't believe we could have gotten 3 more points then I have nothing else to say to you.

JJ goes 11-2 and it's a differnt story then huh.

Shite just give me the 230 for both of the games and we could leave the 1270 in the past. But look at this little note, we could have the 105th ranked offense but went 11-2 and lost only to Bama and Florida.

If only...
