on defense (which is all Chavis, by the way) and special teams. I know we are psyched about these improvements. People keep saying "We've improved everywhere! We're just weak at QB. Why is everyone so upset?"

Let me put it this way....

My car had some major problems so I brought it to the shop. The mechanics told me they had worked long and hard on my car and its good to go.

I get in my car to go home. I put the key in the ignition and turn. Engine turns over. Sweet.

It's night so I go to turn my headlights on. They do. Awesome.

I pull out the parking lot and manuever to pull on the freeway. Power steering is working again. Excellent.

I get on to the highway and bump it up to 65. They fixed the overheating problem. Good deal.

Car screeches to a stop in front of me. I slam on the brakes. Oh shite. they forgot to fix something.

your analogy is all wrong. noone forgot to work on the offense. but i guess it makes you feel smart.

Analogies just aren't your thing.... But I can tell you put a lot of thought and effort into your thread, so I'll give you a sunshine sticker anyway.

You're right. The rushing offense is much better than last year. Too bad it's offset by the fact that our passing offense has regressed.

I'm not saying they forgot to work on it. I'm saying they had an entire offseason to get it fixed. Apparently, they couldn't get it done.

2 years ago you'd turn the key over and the car would blow up and kill you. At least now you have a chance to get out.

We at least now have a chance...that's an improvement.

I get what your saying, but you can't just magically make a bad qb good

Your analogy suggest that you should have gotten your brakes fixed as well.... And the only way to do that is to replace them... We got some new faces at the qb position but what do you want to so throw some more true freshman into the wild? That didn't seem to work recently

I think GC is more to blame than JJ. His play-calling is VERY suspect. There is no rhyme or reason for some of the calls. GC's system relies on a QB to be SUPER efficient.

I think that they throw so many formations at a defense and feel like they are confusiing the D. In reality, they confuse our offense as well. They seem to still be trying to figure out exactly what it is the offense is good at. Last game, look at how long the snap count was and how it caused a couple of penalties. Les admitted they were trying a new snap count.

I just think that the offense is poorly coached as evidenced by the ranking. No way a well coached offense is ranked as low as we are. Who's doing the majority of coaching is debatable.

We will get the O fixed hopefully.
