It’s one of those things where you know it’s going to be a problem but you convince yourself it’s not during the offseason.

Obviously, a big part of the rushing success in 2023 was because of Daniels. But if you take away Daniels you still saw guys regress in 2024.
Nothing changed. LSU wants to be a counter team, but were not good at fundamentally executing the play. Daniels had monster yards because he was a cheat code. That is why Alex Atkins was brought in. Here's a great read from ATVS on the subject. LINK

I've been saying the same thing about Sloan. I truly believe Alex Atkins is going to help with the scheme and run game overall.

Supposedly some new plays have been put into the running game.

That's exactly why he was brought in to fix LSU's counter game.

All returning OL's are either too inexperienced to make a big difference in the SEC and/or hot garbage.

Wrong, but I would expect no less from the dumbest motherfricker on this board.

If you believe recruiting ranks then you would say the talent is there. But it is just potential until they do it. Tons of questions on the line this year.

Adams has proven he’s capable of playing multiple positions vs SEC and other P4 competition. He was by far and away our best reserve OL last season and losing him was almost as big of a blow as losing Dellinger. It’s asinine to ignore that, but the idiot I was replying to is full of shite.

It was only one game, but Echols looked really good for a true freshman in the Bowl Game. He looks ready to contribute, even if it isn’t as a starter. If nothing else, he looks very promising as our Center of the future.

Time will tell whether the rest are ready to contribute or not, but we won’t know if they aren’t until we see them on the field. Most expected the OL in the Bowl Game to be a complete shite show, but that was absolutely not the case, as thrown together as it was.
