Do tattoos make you bad at basketball?

I don't get this. True, pro athletes are pretty much set financially. What I don't understand are the people who get tattoos and then have to get jobs.
You aren't going to get hired inked up like that.

Tatoos are disgusting and cosmetic mutilation for white thrash. It also looks ridiculous when men have eariings.
A poster made a good point. If LSU is Purple and Gold, why does everything look Blue and Gold these days.

I used to get a kick out of some of the old farts at basketball games in 2000-2001ish. When Beshera would make a bad pass or turn the ball over or do something incredibly stupid, the farts would seem to all say stuff like, "Bless his heart--he's hustlin' so hard." But when Torris Bright--who happened to be a black guy with a gold tooth and tattoos and no smile--happened to do the exact same thing, all I heard was "Too flashy! Work on the fundamentals and stop having such a bad attitude!"

Booom!...bigtime. isn't it amazing how every generation when they reach 50ish thinks music that isn't 30yrs old sucks and the kids are going to destroy society? read the letters to the editors from 100 or 200yrs ago and it's the same as today. to me, your age doesn't matter. kids with wild tatoos are gonna be sorry one day, esp the highly visible. cuts your chances down of landing a good job no matter what they say. hey, it's their body; i try not to judge. but "clean cut" involves much more than tatoos. a person, regardless of age, is clean cut (IMHO) if they are clean, wear clean clothes, trim their hair and beard and are nice and respect others. i find most young people, regardless of their tatoos are ok, esp college kids.

If you looked at me you'd never tell I have a tattoo, so no it would never affect me getting a job. I have absolutely no regrets getting it because its a LSU tattoo and it means a whole helluva lot to me. Its on my upper right shoulder where no one but my wife can see it. But me working in a hospital would never get a tattoo that was visible.
