All LSU Needs Is a QB That is Somewhat Mobile, Can Complete 60% 15 Yards In,

Complete 33% of their passes 15 yards or longer, and can take the running lanes when given, which is a lot.
You have that, and you win yesterday. We don't have that. We have a QB that is scared, throws off his back foot constantly, bails on the pocket but then goes nowhere, and then gets run down by a DL when he does actually try to "run".
Hell, even a guy that could complete 25% of passes over 15 yards is an upgrade over Nuss.
We have this and we go to the playoffs with this defense.

A mobile QB helps with a shitty OL. It's why JD5 made the offense effective.

I’m not a guy who loves backup QBs
But barring a bad turnover Van Buren probably wins the game yesterday.
I said this in another thread as to why
For whatever reason, Nuss will not run.
Van Buren at least gives you that and that alone can make up for some of the O line deficiencies and keep the defenses a little on their toes.
Right now opponents don’t even need to account for Nuss
You saw that yesterday when Ole Miss only rushed 3 for much of the game.
A guy like Van Buren would have forced Ole Miss out of that strategy in a hurry.
But barring a bad turnover Van Buren probably wins the game yesterday.

How about just one who doesn’t throw into triple coverage on first down with the lead? I truly think we win if we just get a FG there.

Correct. Van Buren takes the easy yards, makes the short passes, and we hold on to the ball longer. Instead we have a guy too scared to even run a QB sneak

We have no run GAME! We didn't have a run game last year. We didn't have a good run game JD5s Heisman year. 80% of JD5s runs were on his own. Then defenses would key on him and Diggs would get a few yards. BRAD DAVIS needs to GO! Joe Sloan is an ineffective OC We need a real OC who knows how to set up plays.

How mobile is Van Buren? I like Nuss but I still believe Jarrett Lee could have given us a chance.
