Imagine how the Bama fans probably felt after decades of domination under Bear and to a lesser degree, Stalins. They fell off the face of the map while landing mediocre coaches until finally getting Saban. I'm sure they hated us for a few years.
Now we again suffer through the dark years after finally seeing the light. I guess you don't know what your missing until you've had it and led lost it.
Losing sucks now but was once the 'norm' for our team. Guess we are close to returning to those days again.

absolute bullshite. Saban had nothing to do with that win last night. LSU made critical mistakes and the refs botched several calls....THOSE are the things that got LSU beat....it was not saban. His team got their asses handed to them for the entire second half and the LSU players (whether wr's, fb's or kickers) handed the game to bama....it is nothing that bama did...they had NOTHING to do with the dropped passes, and nothing to do with the kick out of bounds.....the only thing saban maybe had some influence over was the 15 yard penalty......so if that is what you mean by saban being a superior coach, then I agree...he certainly is on the team that has the refs in their pocket.

I think the west has 3 tiers:
Tier 1 is bama. Legit championship shot every year
Then there's "to be named" LSU tier. We'll always be pretty good with some bumps in the road but never great.
Then there's everyone else. Maybe a little behind LSU overall looking at averages but able to put it all together on some random year and take down bama in the process.

A definitive statement that LSU is "dead" as a championship caliber program is asinine and a knee jerk reaction. Yes, they have won 4 in a row against LSU, but to say that means that the Tigers can't or will never beat them or win another championship is an opinion. Not fact. Thus, my opinion that the OP and those ascribing to that thinking are vaginas.
