Always try to lock your state down first. Recruit your state first and focus elsewhere for specific needs that may be lacking.

There are a few states where this is especially true I would say.

Louisiana, Texas, Florida and California.

Louisiana really does seem to have extraordinary skill position talent per capita, QB may be an exception in many years. FLorida, Texas and Cali have sheer volume coupled with at least a few high end football schools.

At least that's what appears to be the case to me. I could be way off, I often am.
