He stands up at the snap of the ball. He just cant get under an o-linemen's pads. This could be corrected with proper d-line coaching.

Teacher you nailed it. That's him in a nutshell. Saw him play in HS at Elton, and he didn't need technique because he was so much bigger than anyone else on the field. He is treated as a god in Elton. He really seems to be a good kid, but the slow tag is accurate.

He got hurt so that is why you haven't seen him lately. He is every bit of 6'5" I know him personally. And as for the lack of playing time prior to the injury, as far as I can tell (this isn't coming from him) it as to do with the fact that we have a lot of guys entering the draft and it seems they are trying to keep his stock down so he will stay. Expect to see him next season a lot and expect to see a very physical force...DC allowing!

Yeah, because if he is truly dominating the co-D coordinators would not use him to save their asses. Watching him during his limited playing time he is slow off the snap, doesn't appear to have explosiveness or quickness, and seems to possess very average strength for a player of his size. I say Todd McShay doesn't know what he is talking about on this one.

lol...you must be kidding! He has not had the playing time to show his true playing abilities. In the beginning of the season the d-line coach seemed to rather play a hurt player over him....made NO sense. Then gave Al the start and he has been hurt (since alabama) and unable to play. But while he was in he was involved in several tackles. As far as the slow comment that is also funny due to the fact that it is because of his speed and size (yes 6'4-6'5) that the NFL is so interested in him.
