You realize if we scored as many points as we did last year we win that last game right? Scoreless for almost a whole game.

Some of you need to man up and realize we need a OC who that can scheme. That is all.

Is the sugar bowl the ceiling for LSU football for you? This team has more talent than Clemson, Washington, Penn St. and is right on par with OSU... all of which are in serious consideration for the playoffs. Sure, I'd take top 10 and a sugar bowl right now but I expect more and I will hold our administration to deliver a higher quality of staff rather than take the cheap way out.

No one is topping Bama while Saban is there. They may go undefeated for until he retires.

Even when he retires the process and program he's established at bama will continue for years. Just look at LSU. Miles was able to ride that wave to a championship.

If you can't tell that the team has played in a much more dynamic way on both sides of the ball, then I don't know what will convince you.

We were definitely more dynamic on offense, but I wouldn't say it was anything drastic (and it didn't always need to be). It was better play calling for the most part and not as predictable for sure. However, the Bama play calls were weak even with a limited QB and our red zone calls against UF were not very good. We looked worlds better this year on offense against a&m, Ole Miss and Arkansas and that was great, but we need something more for the top teams.

More fake accounts downvoting in order to fluff this hire. The intelligent portion of the fan base realizes what's going on.

People are down voting because they're tired of the sour grapes and the assumptions that Orgeron will fail. Honestly, I was hoping for Herman as coach, but Herman didn't want to be a Tiger so frick him. I think if Orgeron hires a great OC there is no reason he shouldn't succeed. He knows the mistakes he made as a head coach and has vowed not to repeat them. He's modeled practices after the way Pete Carroll ran them at USC and pro scouts from the Giants and Cardinals said they were brilliant. The players love him and he motivates them like no other.
I read an article that compared him to Dabo Swinney. Dabo is a receivers position coach, not a brilliant X's and O's guy. What Dabo has done well is hire excellent coordinators and recruited well. Guess time will tell if O can do the same. And please remember, every coach at Ole Miss in the last 35 years has failed. It wasn't until they 'opened the wallet' that Freeze had a little success(look what that's gotten them)

I down voted you because you think someone that concealed rape needs to be a major part of our staff. I was very much against O having the interim tag removed

To be fair, LSU held Bama scoreless for almost a whole game too! The game came down a few plays that went Bama's way. The 15-yard hit out of bounds which set up the TD for Bama.

This was a game of, whichever teams scores first wins.

That's the problem. I don't think he will fail. I think he'll be Miles 2.0

9-3 seasons and he lingers around. We'll never be able to justify firing a cartoon character and we'll never win a title until we hire someone who knows more than the coordinators he plans to hire.

just like Miles

so two or three SEC titles out of a decade?

can't ask for more.

I don't know what you saw, but LSU only gave up 10 points.

I will take my chances on a game 0-0 after 3 quarters.

Out of curiosity who do you think we should've hired? Please don't say Herman or Fisher. Neither wanted LSU or they'd be here. Who was next? Honestly, other than Scott Frost or gambling on PJ Fleck I'm kinda glad O's getting his chance.

So your biggest fear is that LSU continues to recruit well but loses some games each year? ...... wow, that is scary.

Great positive vibe screen name... TDCline....

Since we didn't get Herman, they should do the right thing and get someone competent to handle the offense. Kiffin does not excite me at all. Make the SEC shite their pants by hiring Briles.

This! Why would we want to hire Kiffin. He has tendencies to get stupid with playcalling and guess what??? Our number one enemy, who just so happens to be a defensive guru, knows his tendencies!! I say screw it and go for Briles or some up and comer who is innovative and can get the best out of his quarterbacks.

Nobody is beating Bama. Our players are very good but, Bama's are better.

We fired our best coach in our history and struck out on his replacement. Alleva panicked and made a poor decision.

That's the reality of the situation.

Every single word of this is true.

If LSU chooses Ensminger, we choose to not win. Bring in Briles for a couple years, watch the SEC run scared. Saban hates the spread offense, complains about it like a whiny bitch. We would be unstoppable and our D under Aranda would destroy opponents. To me, it's a simple decision.

We chose not to win by hiring a 55 year old career dline coach. Period
