Yes. The offenses have all moved ahead of the defenses. Similar to when the wishbone/triple option went mainstream.
We have a triple option now. It is with the pass
We could not stop the good teams for the last ten years. So this is not a Pelini thing...
Where the bleep are Raymond and bush and Johnson.
We do not know the basics of who has which guy when they motion or delay or cross.
There are rule sets for DBs that you learn in 10th grade. They might be called something else but they don’t change that much.

So what I think will be important is how this team develops from here. LSU stock has sold off significantly but I believe there is upside from here. While I'm not expecting them to rattle off 7 consecutive wins, I will be watching to see how they fight through the rest of the season. If they don't finish the season playing better than they began, then pull out the pitchforks.

I do suspect there are some locker room and leadership issues that hurt our effort and growth.
Leadership is missing in a big way right now. They don't have an identity. That's part of what happens when you go through this many changes. Go back and watch last year's team. The leadership on that team was off the charts and that team played with swagger. Two very important ingredients to championship teams. It's going to take time and challenges just like this to mold them into who they are going to be. Neither of those ingredients are automatic. They are grown and usually they come from times just like this.
At the end of the day it starts with the coaches. They've got to figure this out. But the solution requires a number of pieces coming together.

Damn good post. Unfortunate that it is way above the comprehension level of most LSU fans and posters on this site.
The reaction and flame throwers were to be expected when introducing this level of perspective and discussion. Been around boards like this long enough to know the risk of this type of post. People are passionate. That's a good thing. The other good thing is I can pick and choose who to engage and who to ignore.

Been a lot of focus on Pelini, but this deserves a lot of attention. Receivers are open all over the field and DB's look like they're chasing an escaped dog. Not diminishing DC ownership of the issue, but there's more to it than just him.

I agree on cutting bait with the players that don’t want to play. They are a stage 4 cancer to a program. I don’t care how many stars they had or how talented, make them kick rocks.

Seems reasonable, should get downvoted to hell.
No excuse for common sense on this board.
Emotions rule. Karens!!

There are several players that need to have their scholarships pulled. There is no excuse for the total lack of effort exhibited by several of our defensive players yesterday. If they were not hurt then they need to be shown the door. Exorcise the cancer that has invaded the program. That is the only way the body can heal. And put every other player on notice that a lack of effort will lead to immediate dismissal. This has to be dealt with now.

That is because they are out of position and that is on the coaches.
