My first instinct is to answer no. However, I feel like we are a better team than last year, and last year's team won 13 games without a quarterback.

This team isn't good enough to beat Bama twice, I know that. I think we beat them in November, but just like last year, they will win the Mulligan.

Is that what your doing?

Then why didn't you bring up the fact...
- that we put up over 500 yards of total offense (biggest offensive output since '07)
- that we rushed almost 350 yards
- that our QB was 19/26 for almost 200 yards in his first start
- that we kicked the other team's arse
- that Wisconsin, South Carolina, Arkansas, Oklahoma all struggled this week
- that we played the game two days after a hurricane.

All of that would be keeping it real too.

I still remember everyone "being concerned" after we destroyed Miss St. 45-0 in the first game in '07. Unless people see whatever they feel is a "perfect game," a unicorn walk across the field, the other team literally quit and walk off the field crying in the third quarter, and we all get a celebratory blowjob from a cheerleader after the game....they're not happy.

no, but you have to look at those in context, they were simple mistakes that are easily fixed. What worries you is an exposed weakness that the team will face throughout the year.

I don't know....once all of Saban's players are gone
maybe LSU will win more games.

Not sure I'd call it weakness. Most safeties in 1 on 1 coverage are suspect.

just after last night hell no we wont be 14-0. we played like poo. the oline managed to get our qb hurt by wiffing on a block, our dline was getting zero pressure, wrs dropping the ball and the playcalling was dog poo. You combine that with how bama looked and we will be lucky to cross the 40 this time.

I was highly disappointed in the effort last night but hopeful this was a one week thing because of a crazy practice week. I did hope les would have the guys up after they got embarrassed last time out but he didn't.

Last night is exactly what you should expect for an opener. No need to show anything on offense when you can keep it simple and score 41. Defense will be fine because, again, no need to show anything but basic defensive alignments. Preparation is on team by team basis and north Texas didn't require a specific gameplan other than show up and over power them. Offense and defense will adjust to each weeks team. Stop worrying.

We played North Texas. West Monroe was better than that team last night.

GFY and then jump off a cliff.
CLM is 3-3 against God and if bama did not pay their way in the natty, he'd be 3-2

Please jump off a cliff. This isn't the same bama. They played a very overrated Michigan. We drummed Oregon just as bad and they are light years ahead of mich.

Alabama looked great last night. CLM is one loss away from being 3-4 versus Saban.

Texas and South Carolina also gave up 70+ yard TD passes. UGA, WVU, Stanford, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Texas, Oregon all gave up more points than we did.

Maybe, but a lot of top 20 teams played shitty schools, and gave up more points than we did.

This thread is a perfect example of when keeping it real goes wrong.

It was obvious the staff was treating this game like a scrimmage. We saw a lot of bubble screens because that's what the coaches thought the offense needed to work on.

The defense had 2 bad plays and was dominate the rest of the night

This is a 14-0 team

the rantards are out in full force...Arkansas looked way worse than we did. The only team on our schedule that looked "good" was Bama, but you're kidding yourself if you don't think we would have been up for a game against a team like Michigan.

ITS ONE FREAKING GAME.

Bama looked like crap against Ga southetrn last year we all know how that tuned out. Hell, last year we looked like crap against Kentucky, but dominated every other game in the regular season (minus Bama round 1) including some against top 25 teams. The sky is not falling.

You're right, Miles is .500 against the best coach in college football. Seems pretty good to me.
