Im still looking for the "50" players that were out. I got nothing still.

The players obviously have no respect for "stepdad" if they blatantly break his rules and then go out and make fools of themselves right before one of the biggest LSU openers in decades.
im not condoning the fight...but its been reported that the curfew thing is a tradition and has been done for years

And you have a degree from LSU?

So let me get this straight you want the players to be convicted of felony and simple battery because they broke curfew?
If this is what you think, mother of god on our education system in LA.
Fight? Charges? Shitting on LSU? Any of these ring a bell besides breaking curfew.
You, gradman, are an idiot.

Dammit, I forgot where I was. The Rant. That's it. All common sense and open eyes fly right out the window in here. Take off the "shite, our title is at stake" glasses and look at the big picture.
You do realize that there breaking of curfew was a team tradition on the last night of camp and that the coaches always ignored it, right? If there wasn't an altercation then we never even know about them breaking curfew and the players are most likely never even made to run for it.
Get off your high horse about JJ and half the team breaking curfew because it simply isn't a big deal. The big deal is the fight and that is the only thing that the players should be punished for depending on how it all turns out.

Yeah, that one made me chuckle too
Apparently a bar fight = booster paying for hookers in a 5 star hotel

Remember the bar fights, kicking in doors, guns pulled not too long ago. T-Bobs DUI, This bar fight, shite is starting to add up. Time for Les to take hard action.

Run-ins with the law happen at every single fricking school in the country...there's is no way in a hell a sane person could compare LSU's run-ins with the law to Miami.
You sound like a fun person to be around.

College football players everywhere break curfew, its expected. You never hear about it because most can carry themselves in a respectable manner and stay out of trouble, or its handled internally
JJ and friends found trouble, their fault or not. Punish those 4 seriously and handle the other 46 behind the scenes. There is no reason to sit the entire football team because 4 guys couldnt stay out of trouble during a night out.
Good post, and pretty much sums up how I feel. Breaking curfew isn't a huge deal, you just probably run more if you get caught. But if you can't stay out of trouble it becomes a much bigger deal.
All four players, especially JJ, should have not been in the situation in the first place. I'm not talking about breaking curfew, but getting into an altercation. There's always the option to walk away.

Yes.

But there was, this time.

Not at all. Only a huge arse distraction for a big game coming up and selfish decision making. Not a big deal at all.

Oh no, we cant punish them. We worry more about our record than others destroying a good program.
Hang on a sec, I am putting on my Halo.

Wow, you are missing my point. They SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN THERE! That has been in every post I put. They were there, they fricked up, they sit or lose their PRIVLEDGE to play football at LSU. Start the ones who stayed in.
Sooooo, because they went out after curfew on a night if which they didn't have practice the next day, you think that we should basically forfeit the Oregon game (there are reports of 40-50 players being out that night). I played college athletics, and as many on here will confirm, breaking curfew is done ALL THE TIME. The issue here is the fight, not the curfew breaking. The curfew issue will be handled with a little bit of running.
A college coach will never sabotage his season because of players breaking curfew one documented time. Now if it happens repeatedly, then more steps will be taken. But one broken curfew is not a cause to forfeit the Oregon game.
