It wouldnt be a bad bet. JJ may be the worst interviewer of all time. I like to think of him like Will Farrell in Old School in the debate, when he says "what just happened, I blacked out"
But hey, we're winning, so wtf do I care.

Did you read any of JJ's quotes at the beginning of the season??? There's a reason Miles has blocked him being interviewed by the media.
Funny how soon people forget.
IIRC, all he said was he wanted to be the starter. Isn't that the same reason Lee is upset now? I don't remember JJ being that visibly upset and lonely on the sideline like Lee always is.

So he says that it is all just rumors and stuff. But then he goes on to say, I'm just trying to get in there and get right academically.
MMMM. Seems those are not rumors but truth.

I don't hate him, or even dislike him. I do not know him.
However, I think he is a very poor QB when playing against a team that has any semblance of a defense. I cannot imagine a QB that has as much starting experience as JJ leading a team as good as ours to the 1st half performance we saw tonight...and most of the games last season, for that matter.

The same can be said for Lee. People need to suck it up. Neither is really that good.

Did you? I get the feeling a lot of people didn't watch his first interview after the suspension. He said he wanted to be the starter, but also that he would play whatever role the team needed him for. He actually praised Lee multiple times this year.

I love it. You call me out for links for stuff other people were saying on this board, and all you can say to the lunacy that fool is spewing is what I quoted? From what you said, it sounds like you agree with what that poster said
How you arrived at that, when I was clearly doing the opposite, is beyond me. Lunatic will be lunatics.

Exactly what I was going to say. LSU played 2 good defenses this year, and Jefferson was the qb under center for both of those wins.

You misinterpreted what he meant by that comment.
That isn't what he meant and that's not exactly what he said.
Listen to the interview again and then come discuss it.

because i believe to JJ, JJ comes first, not the team...all those interviews, the me's, my's and I's.....then you have lee's interview from tonight and nothing but class...I think JJ is classless "no apology from bar fight, all the interviews where he said he played good when it was obvious he played bad, the I put the team on my back comment, etc..etc..." and believe he shouldnt be the QB for LSU, its my opinoin, and Im entitled to it...anyone have a different opinoin, they are entitled to it as well, its a message board, we discuss things because we love LSU football....

Really?
Lee has never played as badly as JJ played tonight, IMHO.
But don't misunderstand me. Lee is not a worldbeater either, but when the starter is playing as bad for as long as JJ did tonight, why not try Lee. If Lee doesn't do better, try Mett (the next guy).
It is frustrating that Miles ha a blind spot for JJs poor play.

Clearly doing the opposite? All you said was it wasn't relevant to this thread. In no way did you clearly oppose his/her stance. Either way, my post of what I read others saying seemed to upset you much more than that posters ridiculous opinion of how JJ would handle this situation.

Russell Shepard could be QB for this team and I am almost positive the record would be similar, if not the same. Only close game LSU played this year didn't require virtually any offense. Second best defense LSU played this year didn't require a passing game.

What about 2008 with all Lee's pick 6's????

He said against a good defense. What good defense has Lee played against this year? Bama. He was 3/7 for 24 yards and 2 ints in that game. That is just as bad as JJ today.

This is what I wanted to see.

Both games required not turning the ball over. Which JJ didn't do.

Not that he didn't try today. Which is one reason people wondered why he didn't sit a series.
Both are serviceable if used together. If this were a competitive season, I would believe LSU would need both, but it hasn't been. As far as I know they have handled their personal problems with class. LSU is fortunate in that regard. The QB position has been integral, but not pivotal this year.

I agree. He could definitely run all the option stuff, and with practice could hit all the screens, slants, and curls. Only problem he might have is that one deep pass play they run off the play action.
