All of the LSU fans that I met were great. One guy cooked for the entire parking lot. He was a professional cook.

Scoop, you have always seemed like a good honest guy, no flaming or stupidity from you. So, why in the name of almighty are you associated with those morons from bama we call Gumps? Here's my request, change your name to LSUScoop and join this crowd. Heck, I graduated from Troy, not LSU, no reason you can't join in. I guarantee you life will be better, as well as the tailgating and comradarie. Here's to ya.

Funny how threads like this only get started after losses.

Negative...nice to kick out a comment after reading a few threads...TODAY! The comments actually began during the in-game threads and other threads during the game. No need to thank me for bailing you out on your stupid post.

I'm a huge LSU fan and I was getting aggravated because so many damn injury timeouts were needed for LSU players....I can only imagine how the Alabama fans would react. After the first two or three, but it seemed every other play someone from LSU was down.

"I went to the game Saturday night and the only thing that I was absolutely disgusted about what the sportsmanship of the Alabama fans, especially the student section."

..you also should have been disgusted with our coaching in the second half

Were you really surprised by their classlessness? Covering that state for my job well prepares me to know how these people behave. Have to go there for business on occasion, it's never too soon to leave!

Bama fans posting on the SEC Rant are claiming it was only a small section of Bama fans cheering.

You surprised? Gumps are the worst fanbase in the SEC by far.

I was in that stadium last night, too. Southern manners, in fact NO MANNERS existed. I have never, NEVER, in my life been treated as rudely as we were by not just Alabama fans, but ALL personnel working the stadium. It was simply unbelievable. This is the first time that has happened to me in Tuscaloosa, and I have been to many a LSU v. Bama game there. Something has changed. They all need a lesson on the concept of sportsmanship.

same here, I am guessing this is what they call a hoogan crowd at a soccar game. Those pricks all have Sabanitis that was .sthe most classless bunch of fans I have ever been around, but what can you expect from a bunch of toothless hillbillies who dont knhow how to act with a winning team. Even some of the gump fans I was sitting with were embarrassed by their feloow gumps behavior. .

when a player is hurt, I expect the students to genuflect and pray to which ever God they celebrate.

it wasn't only the students, the 90% of the fans, young and old were cheering and booing when our players went down, I have never been treated rude at an Alabama game before, note, I spoke to many GOOD Alabama fans before the game, fans who showed class, but inside the stadium, I witnessed many classless bama fans and a few classless drunk LSU fans, the crude alabama fans
outnumbered the classless Lsu fans at about 30,000 to 1, attire didn't affect the low life attitude of the crude fans, also, all the crude fans encountered were caucasian red necks

On the multiple occasions that LSU had a player injured, the Alabama fans, led by the student section, began cheering "ROLL TIDE" and "ALA-BAMA" completely disrespecting the fact that there was a young man being tended to who had been injured while playing the game. At one point, after Charles Scott had been injured - which possibly ended his career at LSU - the Alabama student section turned up to us sitting above them in the upper deck and started cheering loudly, shouting epithets and displaying vulgar hand signals. The complete disregard for the well-being of LSU players put a really bad taste in my mouth towards Alabama fans.

I usually don't post over here out of respect, but I can't let you distort the truth like this.

I was in the student section last night. Those LSU fans above us were screaming and hollering as well, and many of them were leaning over the rail and cursing, spitting, and flipping the students off. On more than one occasion, an overly obese man doing the gator chomp had to be restrained from falling over the rail by his wife.

The students below reacted to the LSU fans above, just like they should have.

And as for all the noise during LSU 'injuries', I'll admit it was very unsporting of us. Even when in doubt, I think we should still respect the players.

During that time (the injury) LSU fans started a "Go Tigers" chant. Bama fans countered with the Ala-Bama thing. LSU fans then started throwing trash at the student section...which brought out the boos.

That is crap! I have traveled with the Tigers for years, and this is by far at the top of my list for worst travel experiences. Bama fans were horrible. They were crying and didn't have anything to cry about. All the BAMA fans could bitch about the whole way we were walking after the game, was that LSU players faked being hurt to stop the clock. Best comment ever made by LSU fan was when a "Big" Bama woman said we were all just "Idiot LSU Fans", my friend responded by telling her that, yes tomorrow we will still be an LSU fans, and yes tomorrow she would still be "FAT".

I appologize for any classless fans that cheered during injuries. There is simply no place for that. I for one witnessed the gator chomp during Tyrone Prothro's career-ending injury.
