Sure they all do, how consistently when compared to LSU?
You're such a moron. Can you think of one key position that was not recruited very well at LSU during that period?

Why only 9 years
Because Les has been here nine years and we are talking about his time at LSU. How fricking hard is that to understand?

Because with almost any statistic, you can pick the criteria to yield different results.
We are talking bout LSU football wins in a 9 yr. period of time under Miles. What other valid results are there but 95? We are talking where these 95 wins rank LSU among other schools playng in the BCS for 9 yrs. What other valid result is there but #1? We are talking bout SEC wins in this same 9 yr. period and where the LSU SEC wins rank us. What other valid result is there but #1.
Like Miles or not, but LSU has NEVER come close to experiencing a 9 yr period of success the likes we have had under his leadership before in our history.
Makes it pretty dang easy for me to forgive a few failures.

Miles is a great guy who should be appreciated more by his fans. Saban might be a better coach, but he is not a better man.

I get it.
But my point was that one can always find a way to calculate stats to fit their purpose. Remember, there are lies, damned lies, and statistics.
For example, two of those 9 years are pre-Saban Alabama.
If we start counting wins when Saban arrived at Bama, Bama has 6 more wins, 79-73 (I included the vacated wins).
Don't get me wrong, I like Miles. I'm just looking at the numbers with eyes wide open.

Clearly you don't.

reduced to pinpointing moral victories. That's a defeatist attitude.
i'd rather have bama thinking of moral victories and Miles be beating Saban head to head, including in that 1-9-2012 national championship. Give me a coach good enough to keep the program out of trouble and stack championships and you can keep the bbq buddy.

Perhaps you can point of to us a HC with more wins "head to head" over Nick/Bama than Miles.

Again, what HC out there is stacking championships but the one at Bama and he is not returning to LSU.
If all you got is that Nick/Bama is having a better run right now, you really don't have shite.

Yeah, I was watching ark re run from last year the other night.
If for not a miracle, we would have lost to a third string ole miss team, a 3 win ark team in the same season......, not to mention the curb stomp Alabama handed us.
And by 3 wins I mean 3 total fricking wins.
The dismissal of these FACTS are the reason the term sunshine pumpers came to be.
I just think it's important to look at all sides.

Using your logic, one could say we easily could have only had 1 loss last year.
But you choose to count close wins as almost losses. So I'll count close losses as almost wins.

Did we not come extremely close to losing to a 3 win team and lose to the other two I mentioned?
Dumb shite huh?
Some of you try way too hard to argue the facts just bc you don't like what they are.

Yet you neglect the "FACT" that we were extremely close to having only 1 loss. It's all about perspective. You choose the pessimistic perspective and that's 100% OK. But don't talk down to others that aren't like-minded or write their views off as ridiculous when you're doing essentially the exact same thing, but on the flip side of the coin.

Who gives a shite if we came close? The Arkansas game came on a short week and after two big SEC games. Only retards play if and we come close games after a 13 game season.
If you have to play the we came close game, then we game close to going 12-1 last year. That's why playing if or we came close is retard like.

Posted on 8/14/14 at 8:43 am to TIGRLEE
Not much of a tiger lee what Coach do you know who could out recruit ESPN and whip Slives's officials you don't know one,but if there's any one man who can do that it's Coach Miles and I think in the future he will force espn to change their attitude . Your man sabin is just a straw caught up in the winds of ESPN and the SEC administration no more no less !
