I grew up in Baton Rouge and lived in Lafayette for 6 years before moving up here to Pittsburgh a couple years ago so I know good food and I can honestly say that for this region, food is not their strong suit.

My wife and I dined at Monterey Bay Fish Grotto last night on Mount Washington. The food there was on par with the top seafood restaurants in New Orleans and the view was spectacular. Today we ate at Primanti's and McCormick & Schmicks. Both were really good.

Nonnas bakery just opened a 2nd location in the Hotel Morgan, on High st. I think they do breakfast. I know the owner of the bar /rest. there and am trying to get him to open early Sat. Its kind of a "boutique" hotel, but can be a good time.

Spankum:

A slight hijack here but has there been any
estimates of attendance (tickets sold) of LSU
fans going to the game? If this has been posted
already sorry for asking!

You sold out your allotment of 5,000 so I would say close to 7,000 in the stadium.

Made it to morgantown!...

Don't know how many tickets were sold, buy I can tell you that the Atlanta airport was full of tiger fans...there were so many on my flight that the attendant made a special announcement welcoming Tiger fans!...
