A team with less talent and bad coaching beat UF and Tamu in 2021.

Not to mention all of the opt outs. LSU had a chance to beat Bama and Arky last year too.

So what will competent coaching do for this team?

There's no way to really know until September 4th, but I refuse to believe that this team isn't markedly better.

LSU isn't being underestimated, they simply are not even being talked about (nationally) at all. It's definitely warranted after the last two years, but don't sleep on the Tigers in 2022. They prolly won't threaten to get in the playoff, but every team that plays LSU will know they were in a dogfight.

It will take an excellent team, playing an excellent game to beat LSU in 2022. Of this I am certain.

Geaux Tigers!!

Well if we win games and look organized we wont be catching some of those teams asleep like last year either.

That same team had the second most draft picks in the NFL draft. Last years team was poorly coached and the results screamed it. We had talent but coaching matters.

So when we win it’s because we caught them sleeping. When we lose it’s because they’re just better? Jesus Christ. You think Bama goes into a game sleepwalking? You think that happens against LSU?!?!? Same could also be said about Arky. We’re one of their rivals. I highly doubt they go into that game “asleep”

I was at the Florida game. 11 AM, O just got fired, I was thinking it would be terrible. But we still won, it was about as fun as an early kickoff could be.

Win or lose it's going to be a great season now that we finally have a competent head coach for the first time in 20 years

Such a breath of fresh air that we don't have to worry about the bumbling idiot on the sideline for once

LSU was second only to UGA in the amount of players drafted. The team had plenty of talent. It also shows you just how bad of a HC Orgeron is.

This team probably has less talent…but FAR better coaching

I was there, we looked bad early. The UF couple in front of me was all like “oh hey great place to play. Yeah we are gonna beat you”. Then, realization set in. We paid for all this gear and will never wear it again and we’re about to lose this game.

I wouldn’t say we’re less talented…outside of Stingley, who was only on the team for a few weeks, most of the guys were later round picks…I suspect that this year’s oline ends up with a higher average draft position than the guys picked last year, and I think swapping Davis-Price out for a suspended Emery is basically a wash, and the D-line guys this year are better prospects than the ones that left. LB and kicker are the only positions that I see as less talented than last year bc of guys taken in the draft (obviously DB is less than at the start of 2021 but I’m talking about the team that beat A&M).

It was after UK, we were terrible in that one. Florida was the next week, it was announced after that, but it was the UK game that did it.
