True story -
I saw him once in the old Albertson's on Florida Blvd. I didn't know him but I said "Hi, Justin, how ya doing?"
He proceeds to launch into one of his routines - after about two minutes, I'm like get me the hell out of here - it was funny but awkward to say the least !

He lived in denham springs ( I think )

Correct, he did live just south of Denham Springs; however, he was originally from Mississippi. He lived across the street from my in-laws on Pete's Highway about halfway between Denham Springs and Port Vincent. I never got to meet him because he moved away prior to 1988 when I met my wife.

My wife and I considered buying his house from the couple he sold it to in the late 90's. It was very dated, but I loved the pool and outdoor kitchen area. It just needed too much work for what they were asking.

His daughter (from his first marriage) owns and runs a successful business using his name and likeness to sell spices, sauces and such.

tigers of L U S in Baton Rouge!
Why hasn't anyone pointed this out in 3 pages of replies? Was this intentional?

"L U S" was probably intentional - Justin was a comedian, after all.

My Maw Maw had one or maybe two LP's of his and they were pretty dang funny.

I remember the one about about guy who ran his car off the road into the tree and was questioned by the sheriff if he was drunk: "Well, HELL yeah, I drunk! You don't think I one of dem WRECKLESS DRIVERS, do ya!?" (got try to read it with the over the top, affected accent in your head). Good times.
