A poem I wrote for the start of basketball season.

Tis the night before basketball and the killer Bs are swarmin,
in their cold disgusting holes the rest of the sec is squirmin.

And although we will be without the great Keith Hornsby,
Johnny Jones can rest easy and fill his lineup card with glee.

The back court depth is beyond compare,
lighting up the scoreboard so fast it won’t be fair.

With such offensive promise they’ll be ready to attack,
let’s just hope they don’t choke like against the wolf pack.

Hopefully that loss put a fire in their heart,
because for me it left a taste in my mouth so tart.

With a roster like this we are almost guaranteed to go again,
also with the help of a monster man named Ben.

So lets get this party started with a win tomorrow night,
and look towards the future because we all know it’s bright.
