LSU is a half yard, bullshite penalty and missed OT FG from being 2-6 in the SEC this season.
Perfect example of being a Negatiger.
The fact is Miles guided our team to a third place finish behind the two teams who were ranked #1 & #2 in the nation all year long.
We did that with a rebuilt OL and a virtual redshirt freshman at QB.
Miles has produced 11 wins in 2005, 10 wins in 2006, 12 wins and a national championship in 2007 with adequate QB experience, but the Negatigers only want to talk about the two seasons Miles has had to deal with SEC virgins at QB--Lee's and Jefferson's first year starting in the SEC.
That is total Negatiger B.S.!

Again! Another clown that ignores 90% of the post to focus on one point. Ignore that point clown and address the rest.
Argue one comment + label and name-calling = the unabashed blind pro-Miles, anti-LSU clown crowd.

How about some Neutra-Tigser/Miles? These aren't nega or posi; they look at all things from a neutral position and tell it like they see it...

And since my opinion of Miles and the direction of the LSU football program is labeled as NEGA-Tiger even though I am far from it, I label you blind, simple-minded, only see tree after tree and no forest blowhards ANTI-LSU. That is exactly what you are.
You are the reason Brady got 10+ seasons to never actually establish a basketball program at LSU. You are the reason Smoke was defended relentlessly because of his 2 and BBQs after taking over a juggernaut.
And more importantly, you are the reason Mike Archer and Curley Hallman got to coach for 8 damn seasons at LSU. You are the reason that Gerry DiNardo would have gotten a 6th year to coach LSU football. Instead, Dr. Mark Emmert crushed your narrow perspective and launched LSU football into elite status, Paul Mainieri has re-established LSU baseball as an elite program and Trent Johnson has crushed any hope you delusional fools have of Brady coaching anything above low level college basketball.
You are ANTI-LSU and

Retard, take your alumnus, season ticket holder and TAF donator crap and shove it.
You think that makes you special, but it don't make you jack shite even if its true which I doubt.
Les Miles has coach football for 30 years, won 70% of his games at two power conference schools, and has been paid millions by two schools to run their football programs, but you think you know more than him. We would have to be bigger idiots than you to pay attention to your garbage.
Get your head out of your butt and STFU before you make a bigger fool of yourself than you already have.

quote:Les Miles has been a HC for 9 years and has a .692 winning percentage. Furthermore, at OSU he was 28-21 for a .571 winning percentage. He took over LSU which had a .846 winning percentage the two years before he took over. In is first two seasons at LSU, Miles maintained that .846 winning percentage. In his last two seasons at LSU, Miles has a .680 winning percentage including cupcake OOC opponents and a .500 SEC record and has lost 9 SEC regular season games in the last 17 LSU has played. Very simply, Miles owes over 70% - the true one - of his total wins as a HC to LSU and it's program that was build for him. Now that Miles is in full control, the winning percentage has dramatically decreased, specifically in the SEC. Miles thanks the powderpuff OOC's that he can barely beat everyday to maintain even a hold of a decent winning percentage.

fixed it for you!
Why do Negatigers ignore our 2007 BCS Championship season. What planet were Negatigers on that year?
Why do Negatigers pretend that Miles has been competing in the SEC with a fully developed QB for the past two years.
Why do Negatigers want to compare won/loss records with Urban Meyers on the the past two years? Is it because Meyers has had one of the greatest of all time college QBs in Tim Tebow during that period?
Why do Negatigers want to compare won/loss records with Saban on the past two years? Is it because Saban's Crimson Tide had a senior QB in 2008 and a junior QB who beat out Saban's other four QBs: two sophomores, a redshirt freshman and a true freshman?
During these past two years, Crowton and Miles have had a redshirt freshman QB, and a sophomore QB in Jefferson who was redshirted the majority of his freshman season.
Please stop with the Negatiger B.S., it is getting way do deep on the RANT.

Recruiting is not what wins you games. I am sorry, but to think recruiting is what wins in college football has to be the stupidest excuses I've ever seen. Is it a key factor? Yes, very much so, but in NO way is it the only factor.
A perfect example for LSU was DiNardo. As his teams got more talented initially, they won more games. Then with his best talent and shitty coaching, we went from a top 6 team to a 4-7 and 3-8 team in an instant.
Miami shows you what development of recruited talent means. As Coker took over the program, recruiting didn't decline by much, but player development and coaching did.
tOSU struggled under Cooper to beat Michigan for years. Tressel took over in 2001 and won a national title with Cooper's recruits in 2002. Meyer and Zook was a similar instance.
Stoops won an NC in year 2 at OU with the recruits from a previous coach that got fired. People seem to put way too much on recruiting and not enough on coaching quality. VaTech gets average recruits yet is always competitive because of coaching.
Miles is not a talent developer, and I look at years 1 and 2 a lot through the success of both Jimbo and Pelini. Don't forget how bad our defense got in year 3 (2007) under Pelini as the senior/experienced/developed players got hurt.
In the end, quality coaching is lacking under Miles' the past 2 years.

That is why fans who call for firing Miles who has kept recruiting at the same high level Saban left is stupid.
With this one-dimensional logic, I Bad Cat was aghast when FL dumped Ron Zook, Master Recruiter.

Drizz,
I hope you realize it's a waste of time to respond to posters whose primary method for winning an arguement is ad hominem attacks. You know who I am talking about. Logic is its own virtue.

ONCE AGAIN ALL PEOPLE WHO USE THE TERM "NEGA" GROW UP! SO WHAT IF PEOPLE CRITICIZE US.
IT IS OK TO CRITISIZE LSU!!! Some of you need to move to other places and experience other places to understand passionate fan basis.
OK, ok. Can you please exercise your free-speech rights without cyber-screaming? BTW, TD.com isn't your site (or mine), so there are some limits set regarding criticism by the folks who actually "own" it and administer it. That's why Chicken asks that Ranters use some basic restraint in registering their displeasure, especially after each LSU game when the Rant board is locked.
Also, I don't believe we have to go very far to experience "...other places to understand passionate fan basis," whatever that is.

Was a great year, No doubt. Miles should be judged by what happens from here on out. Throw out the NCG, throw out the 2008 season. Lets see what happens. All Sabans people are gone, Les has his coaches, his experienced QB and his recruits. Its all his.
Bowl game and next season are more important than games that have been played.
A "Negatiger" is simply someone who disagrees with you.

Les Miles is in Florida today 5 years after being hired because the LSU football program that he has run for 5 years has been invited to play in a major bowl game on national tv for millions of dollars and an inmeasurable amount of nation wide positive pub. While he does that for the school, you are a nameless clown sitting at your computer attacking the coach of your own school like the fricking coward you are.
Come on drizztiger or is it Rogertherabbit today, put a name to your alumnus, season ticket holder and TAF donator self and attack Miles like a man and not some nameless, know it all, chickshit twit. Miles doesn't hide his name, why do you? You are nothing but another internet wantabe with a big mouth and tiny balls.

Recruiting is not what wins you games.
You have a big argument with Bear Bryant with that statement. The Bear always said "You can't make chicken soup without chicken".
Fact: Since Rivals has been rating recruiting classes, no team has won the BCS Championship without first averaging 3.5+ star recruited classes for four years before their championship.
If you look at the programs that have won each and every BCS Championship, they all have had elite recruiting classes. Tennessee, Oklahoma, Florida St., Miami, Ohio St., LSU, USC, Texas, Florida, LSU, Florida.
Fulmer won once with great talent, but couldn't keep an elite recruiting program going.
Stoops has won once at Oklahom and has built that program into the second best recruiting program in the Big-12.
Bobby Bowden won twice with an elite recruiting program, but not since losing his elite recruiting program this decade.
Coker won with great talent, but couldn't continue Miami's elite recruiting program.
Tressel won once with great talent and has the best recruiting program in the Big-10
Saban won once, but only after building an elite recruiting program at LSU.
Pete Carroll has won once and has the best recruiting program in the Pac-10.
Mack Brown has won once and has the best recruiting program in the Big-12.
Miles won once and continues LSU's elite recruiting program.
Meyer won twice only after coming to Florida with an elite recruiting program already in place. Florida now has the best recruiting program in the SEC.
Saban now is tied with Miles for the second best recruiting program in the SEC.
What idiot thinks Meyer would have two BCS Championships if he had gone to N.D. with only great coaching?
LSUMafia please name the last school to win a Div. 1A football championship without a great recruiting program?
We are all ears.
