I think this is more telling about the coaching staff than it is the players.

Yeah it tells you the coaches do a PHENOMINAL job of recruiting and developing players for the NFL.

I'm not gonna bash the guys who want to get an early start on their careers and start earning money to play. But I will say I'm disappointed that so far not one of our contributing juniors has decided to come back for one last year of LSU football.

ETA: forgot about Loston

Those that dont grade well only.

Should want to improve their craft while honoring their commitment to team.

Those that fit that description and leave are doing so for selfish reasons.
Perhaps, in the long run, not having selfish players on the team will be a good thing.

Our defensive players are on the field nearly twice as much as any other defense in the nation. More opportunities for penalties.

I'm just a bit surprised that so many who have the opportunity to return for one last go at it are deciding to leave. You at least see a few of the draft ready guys who say "I love LSU football and want to play one more year here."

This is the one departure that makes me completely scratch my head.

Me to considering he didnt play 75% of the year....it would be like blue leaving....idk why these players are leaving unless there is something big about to happen and they arent saying.

A lot of self centered folks and IF

I say IF that is the case......good riddance. Cancers on the team need to be removed.

Who the frick are you to tell people what's best for themselves and their lives? Self-centered? You couldn't care less about any of these players outside of football. YOU apparently believe they are there solely for your entertainment. You sir, are self-centered.

But you also say a junior that grades high should leave. So which is it?

It's both

If you grade well as an under classmen you owe it to yourself to take the opportunity you have earned. The risk of injury is far too great to stay IMO.

If you barely grade out you should stay and improve your game while honoring commitment to team at the same time.

none of the players that are graded high in the draft are frowned upon. We as fans get it

however when you leave barely making the draft it sure looks like you couldn't wait to get out....and that IMO sure looks like selfishness.

as I said time will tell IF that's the reason for some of the players leaving.

And IF it is than I suspect LSU will be better off without them.

you sound like a liberal, you know what's best for everyone right, and the players somehow owe you something?
