LSU played a ton of freshman, played as vanilla as the could defensively (which makes no sense to me, but okay), and still only gave up 295. A 67 yard run where all it takes is a missed tackle because everybody is boxed in, and a like Fury said, a trick pass play, kept LSU from holding them to 7 points and 200 total yards. They had 176 rushing on 37 carries, but on 36 of those carries they had 109 yards. That's 3 yards a carry. LSU allowed only 3 yards a carry vs USC too, who ran all over Utah Tech yesterday with both RBs.

It's only 2 games, but so far, again minus the 67 yarder, LSU is holding opponents to 3 yards a carry. For reference, that would be 43rd in the country on yes, only 2 weeks.

A fun tidbit, Bama, who has played nobodies, is ranked 57th in run defense per carry average while LSU is ranked 63rd.
