I noticed one thing. They did much better when not lined up in the I and running up the damn middle as if to will it into being successful all night long. I think we saw, especially in the 2nd half, a little more looks and mixing it up that caused their D to have to spread out a bit at times. The long and short of it for next season IMO is we absolutely have to get better play from our QB or it's going to look very similar to the end of this regular season when LSU faces better defenses.

The biggest things I take from the game are this, all kidding aside:
1. LSU made TTU one-dimensional and beat Mahomes to a pulp. Good game plan.
2. LSU got a lucky break in the 3rd quarter, LSU jumped all over it (instead of the usual run-run-run and shorten the game) and ended the game, while TTU just simultaneously gave up.
3. LSU was punting as much as they were scoring until that point, mostly because we had no passing threat to keep them honest, and they didn't even try to spread the field like every Big 12 team did against them.

The offense really did improve, even if only slightly.

Kansas had 475, and they were literally the worst college football team in America.
Oklahoma had about 21 yards less than LSU and they're literally one of the best 4 teams in the country.

We put up 600+ against South Carolina
TT defense is beyond terrible

We didn't really change much at all.
Then again, it's not wise to change too much over a short period. Next year, we'll see what we have
