I think that we all can agree that the SEC isn't what it used to be. This conference went on a seven year run of National Championships. Two teams, Auburn and Bama, played and lost in two other National Championship games. I seriously doubt that will ever be duplicated. With that being said, I would be happy with a 6-2 SEC this season.

Miles easily goes 6-2 in this league this year.

Between Ms. State, Auburn, and Alabama, our toughest 3 opponents thus far, which do we easily beat with Miles in your mind??

We can win the games by a point, kind of like O's big wins.

They [A&M] are the toughest game remaining, but if reports are correct, Sumlin will be a dead man walking going into that game and we will be looking at a chance for a good bowl game.
Which will make that Aggie game more the harder to win. Players tend to get very pumped up for a departing coach.

It is a big deal after we got blown out by Miss State. I heard a ton of people predicting a losing SEC record and some even predicting 0-8.

Just so I have you right, I'm supposed to give O credit for digging us up out of a hole he himself dug?

Yup. Dug a hole, saw where he was and did what he needed to do to get out of it. Losing to Troy is unacceptable. But so was losing to UAB under Saban. It's part of the process. Let's see how we look during these last three games and then make a judgment as to how happy we are with the season.

I'm saying I expected the conference to be even worse.

The coaching is as bad as it's been in forever, and all those programs kept their same coaches. Why would it be expected to get better or stay the same?

That's what bad head coaches do. They tailspin programs. It was likely things would get worse for those schools. And that leads us to where the conference sits today.

Not even remotely the same.

You're supposed to quit being a dick and get behind this team.
The team has improved. I know that fricks with your agenda but its a fact.
Your boy Miles fricked up plenty of seasons during the latter part of his tenure, and with a hell of a lot more talent than this team has.

The Troy loss is such a black eye to this season. Going 10-2 with a loss to Bama which is expected, then losing to state sucks but beating everyone else would have easily made up for that. Would have been a damn good season

Seriously. To think we may be in a situation where not losing to Troy meant an 11 win season and possibly a top 10 finish is annoying AF.

What agenda do I have again? And when have I not been behind the team?

The ones that you don't hear from after we win....

You hate O and want someone else in his place.

I mean I guess you can keep beating this horse but he aint going anywhere right now...everyone knows that.

If he wins out we're stuck with him through next year as well.

I'm not completely thrilled either but after what we saw against State and Troy....and then to improve to the level we're at now deserves some praise.

Again, who dug us into that hole?

We were supposedly ready to compete for the SEC this year leading up to the season, what changed?

Which is fine, but not exactly "going 6-2 easily."

Troy and State were winnable too. The thing is, you've got to actually win them. But yes, if LSU wins their next four, and finished 10-3, at least we can say no harm has been done. I would have expected a 10-3 record from Les against this schedule with this talent and an experienced QB. Of course it would have been much more boring.

You're arguing semantics to take a shot at Miles. In this down SEC, he goes at least 6-2. Is that better for you?
