How about his records and stats from 2008/2009 thus far?
Sometimes for whatever reason.. people regress.

Speedy,
Thanks for the reminder. Iowa has stuck with Kirk Ferentz and he's got them looking good this year. Sometimes, we expect things to happen right away, especially considering LSU's last few recruiting classes. When things don't go as planned, the coach is always the one who takes the most heat.
We all have become victims of our own success with the elevated expectations.

some fans would mortgage the entire future of the team in order to ensure a blowout of ULL...

I don't think that this is right. Last year, with 5 losses, we were ranked in the top 20?
I do like the spirit of this post, though. I support the coach of the #4 ranked team in the nation.

In the words of our coach, "we look forward to improving each week"

Great Post!!!!!!! Screw all who are against the "Mad Hatter"!!! We still need to step it up to beat Georgia, Florida, and Auburn next month! Fake some punts, let RS run the ball more, and blitz the QB! LSU football hasn't been as exciting as it was in previous seasons.

And you forgot:
Undefeated in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl (Miami and Georgia Tech)
4-1 in the Georgia Dome

Update..
LSU 7-8 in SEC play the last two years..
Miles 0-8 streak vs Meyer(2-3 vs overall), Saban(1-2 overall), Nutt(2-3 overall), and Petrino(0-1 overall) last two years..
The good and fair news, is that I like most, had LSU going 9-3(w/losses to UF, Bama, UM), and all three games were close battles as an underdog.
Thus with an Ark win and a bowl win, would finish a decent par season, if not despite still clear signs of the methodology being astray. And in missing the minutiae needed to best the Flas and Bamas. Ole Miss too, had better trench play, as did the SEC's two current elite by a landslide.
