Aside from all the douchebags here that were licking their chops at the thought of saying "we have heard this before," I'd like to say thanks for an informative and well written post. Yes we have heard this ad nauseum, but it was a good post nonethless.

I hate your first post. Probably because there is nothing but truth to it and we might be in for a long season defensively.

+1

Most of us were aware of the "3rd and Chavis" thing when he was hired. Our hopes were pinned on him having better athletes at LSU than what he had most of the time at Tenn. And against the backdrop of last year's defensive debacle most were willing to tolerate some "3rd and Chavis".

What we saw against UW was: #1 vintage Chavis and #2 unacceptable to most Tiger fans.

We did improve in the 2nd half against UW and I think we'll get better in the coming weeks. Will Chavis in this day of offensive sophistry be good enough to win an SEC/NC? Dunno. But it won't be because he doesn't have players.

And if you really want to see maximum Rant meltdown, just tune back in when "3rd and Chavis" cost us a win.
