Miles seem to be able to enjoy winning more.
it's not that nick doesn't enjoy winning. he just enjoys the process more. the teaching at practice. like larry brown.

His son was not as bad off as people thought, he just enjoyed/enjoys the reefer- not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. He is a great kid

One Major similarity about both coaches is that they usually have their teams ready when it's time for a big game. Two different ways that achieve the same result.

What about the fact that Saban is a BIG FAT LIAR!
Yeah, there's that.
Yeah, there's that.

LSU will win this game because of coaching not talent.

It has nothing to do with football but Saban has said many times himself that he regrets the way he neglected his son when he was growing up and felt like he was at times a lousy parent. That's because his son got into drugs big time at Catholic High and had to leave the school. The same reason he didn't want him anywhere near Miami. I had friends that knew the kid, he was pretty screwed up.
Again, has nothing to do with football, for me personally though, I would feel incredible remorse to have reached the pinnacle of one of the most successful careers in my profession and yet, to get to that point, felt like I neglected my kids in their most critical formative years. It's kind of like he chose a career over his children, not that that's uncommen these days and is fairly typical, but I guess unfortunate to say the least.
Nick JR was a pretty good pal of mine in highschool. He dated a girl in our friend group. I went over to the Saban's house a few times and Nick is just a prick. To his son and his son's friends and girlfriend. Both his kids are adopted and his son is like 8 inches taller than Nick and Nick still scares the shite outta him. They did not like each other at all and only talked when Nick Jr. was getting yelled at.

I think we should leave the coach's families/private lives out of the conversation completely. None of our fricking business.

Did he have 24's or 26's?

well, if he HAD to maybe? I'm sure LSU would be more than willing to have him just donate his time

Just one point that may or may not matter to most. CLM's kids go to a school that is located on LSU's campus. Just sayin...

I think this talk about Saban as a father, especially @ bigbowe, is inappropriate.
This is a football game. And talking about another man, judging his ability as a father, his son's personal problems, is out of line.
All this came out of Les Miles dropping his kid off at school on TV.

Based on Saban's on camera actions, I think he's a dick.
Based on the results of his team(s) play, I KNOW he's a really good football coach.
I have no clue how good or bad he is at being a dad or a husband.
As much as I want CLM to beat this guy, I don't think I'll speculate or chime in on matters involving his personal life.

To Miles, it's a profession that he just happens to enjoy & loves the College Atmosphere that surrounds college football. It's night & day between these two guys, Miles would coach for free if he could,
I truly wish I was at this point in my 45 years of life!!! He's lucky!!!! But he has earned it big time!@!!!

Did any of you see the ESPN blog on Nick's birthday and them asking his 'bama players to wish Nick a happy b-day?
Those players are afraid to even wish Nick a happy birthday - like they are afraid nick will blow a gasket they were not focused enough...
