re: 264 yards. Offense no better than last year

Because the defense turned the ball over at pretty much every juncture and we only got ONE punt, which PP returned to the 4(before the penalty), it's kinda tough to amass many yards.
Next time you want to post some negative trash make sure you atleast look at the game as a whole. Skewing stats in your favor makes you look a bit inept.

7 >>>> 3 --- BUT - I personally did not see many LSU punts and the one I remember was Jasper pinning MSU down around the 5 yard line.
Gone were the back, to back, to back 3 and outs.... that's progress any way you look at it.
Perfection... no --- but progress and watching the rest of the SEC games yesterday -- we're as good at this point as anyone I saw and only AL looks better, based on the their results --- although I have not seen them actually play a game.

This won't get us very far as the season goes on.
We punted the ball just once, late in the game when it was essentially over, with just one turnover with less than 3 minutes left. Mullen is an offensive genius to many, and our defense gave them fits all night last night.
WTF, would you have rather started every drive on our own 10 yd line to pad stats?
At the end of the season, ask Mullen and MSU who gave them the worst beat down during the year, and $50 to a donut his answer is limited to LSU and possibly one other team. We beat the crap out of them, in all facets of the game.

They really had 152 rushing yards???? To be honest, I'm shocked.
It didn't seem like nearly that much.
Also, it makes me wonder what a team like Bama can do, especially when our offense will keep the D on the field the entire game.

Hard to get 300-400 yards total offense with that great of field position each time-
True. But the flipside to your argument is that by starting with such good position, an average offense should do better than having to kick 5 field goals

lsu played on the short side of the field the majority of the night.
This justification is only valid if we score TDs. Scoring only 2 TDs in 6 or 7 trips to the red zone means it was the defense, not the short field, that kept us from getting more yards.

Starting further back would not have led to more yards. We didn't even get all the available yards on the short field. If you get the ball at the 50 and drive for a TD, you can make the legit argument that it was the short field that kept you from getting more yards. If you start at the 50 and get to the 15 and get stopped, then you legitimately got only 35 yards and having 80 available instead of 50 would not have resulted in any more yardage for you.

AVG starting field position was THEIR 47.
We punted ONCE and it landed inside the 20.
We had 5 INTs.
Give it a rest.

I wasn't talking about yardage. I was talking about our inability to score given the short side of the field. What would the score have been if MSU had punted to us instead of turning the ball over on their side of the field so many times? We would have the same amount of yardage and 15 less points
