maybe they allow more lean at the start or a player to time the start easier to some degree

What happens is a full laser start laser stop equipment is expensive so camps use a hand start-laser stop 40. They use humans to start the clock and the laser shuts it off.

HOw would fast times improve their financials?

Attracting players to the camps by showing off fast 40 times to other future recruits.

improved athlete? yes, bigger and stronger, but faster than senior year in high school? sometimes, but that additional size and strength is going to slow down some also.

Youve got to be kidding. Youre really saying the highschool conditioning is as good as college conditioning? No fricking way. The majority of football players are faster coming out of college than they are as true freshmen.
Most high schools have shite conditioning and they dont have personal coaches teaching them the ins and outs of the 40. Like how long to stay down and at what point should they be fully upright and lengthening their strides.

so the opening doesn't use a laser start-laser stop but uses a hand start instead? thought that had been established earlier in the thread that they use laser start and stop. But I'm not about to reread all this.
edit: could you link the part where it says that the opening uses a hand start?

never said or implied that anywhere

quote:

so you don't think the additional weight and muscle they put on in college would slow down their 40 time. Most these players put on 20-30 pounds (or more) in college. Your just joking right? No dam way does the additional weight not slow them down. Why do think they lose weight before the combine.

quote:

personal coaches teaching them the ins and outs of the 40.

that doesn't happen until the months preceeding the combine. Sure they don't have the cutting edge training in sprinting in high school but a sprinter on the high school (like Devin White) team is going to have some training on it plus he is in good sprinting shape due to he actually runs track throughout a whole track season.

A simple guess on the player would have sufficed. By the way, I'm told he most definitely is faster now than he was in high school. He has been one of the most dedicated players in offseason workouts and is determined to play big this year. Keep in mind, he didn't go to any big-time high school program and he has not peaked athletically.

Ya mad little guy? It was a joke bruh. If you cant laugh at your own frick ups people will use it against you. Laugh it off.

And for the record id love to be able to stop posting FACTS over and over. If the football ignorant posters on here would stop with these proven false myths then id stop posting facts about lsu.
Once again, i dont give a frick what you believe about me.

I was saying id guess thats the why the difference in times.

Highschool kids are no where near their physical peak. Adding muscle isnt the same as adding fat. The increase in weight from muscle is also an increase in power from the muscles. You arent increasing just weight without increasing power. Also its not like most kids arent gaining 20-30 lbs of muscle. They gain 15 lbs yet reduce their body fat by a good bit id imagine.
Why arent all these 17&18 year old kids winning gold medals in track. The reason these high school 40 times dont hold up is because they arent legit.

Holy shite. You really believe a highschool senior is in better shape than when he leaves a cfb program? Do you actually think before you post? Again, why arent all these kids winning gold medals?

I doubt with as cheap as laser technology has gotton these days that the opening can't afford a laser stop start. I don't know what one costs but it can't be that much to make it unaffordable to an operation like that.

Well there is something going on wherr these camp 40 times are slower than times that shouldnt be slower. 21 year old men that have been in a conditioning program that tries to get them to the most productive weight and not lose athleticism, should be running faster 40 times than when they were 17&18 years old in crap( comparatively) conditioning programs.

Im sure if you werent stupid youd know the sentence," youre a part of a fanbase" is the correct usage. You also wouldnt be arrogantly stupid.

This is a sports message board. 100% of the things discussed are useless.

Oh wait. I forgot youre a gunt. Bama football isn't useless to you. You get your sense of self worth from bama wins. Hey, no amount if bama wins will make your trailer, a house.
No amount of bama wins will make your teeth come back in.
