It’s not just the hits and OL play. It’s the short gains/negative plays on first and second down. Our average yards to gain on 3rd down is 7 yards. That’s too much.

We also are near the top of the NFL in 3rd down attempts. We simply do not have enough success on first and second down.

We don’t make anything easy. The offense is asking Shough to make a play on 3rd and 7 to Olave and Vele.

You are emotional. Please follow me here

The Saints were 1-8 after Week 9 in 2025. And you think they regressed?

Rattler was 1-7. So tzimme’s post is irrelevant. If you want to compare apple to apples in terms of improvement vs regression, you need to look at Shough. The record states the team has regressed, the statistics say he has regressed. Those are just facts, it should not be upsetting. You either get better or you get worse

If I thought it was his fault I’d just blame him. I have been shitting on Moore and the run game while you were still knighting for them

Normally you’re one of the better posters on here but it’s laughable you pin this on Shough. Laughable.

Miss me with that bullshite too

and these backs would still only gain 2 yards a carry.

What backs? I think as of today we may have the worse RB room in the league. AK in his last year. One a rookie fullback and Kendre who has how many starts. Our no1 RB has been hurt.
And I didn't make a excuse just pointing out the facts of our oline. Another fact is Tyler hasn't even played all the teams in the nfl yet. These are just plain simple facts.

But the most important fact is we are not playing as good as during last years back half.

Shough was 5-4 last year

Finished the season 4-1 in his last 5 games. The current combined record of those 4 wins is 5-19.

Go look at the 2024 stats I cited in the other thread. We had the same guys and some who aren’t even in the nfl and were 14th in the league rushing. This staff is a joke.
