After a 1-3 week at best... maybe in the collegiate baseball poll where they rank 30 teams.

perhaps overly dramatic but they dont deserve to be ranked with the offense looking like this

My observation regarding Garza is he's weaker than Mathis at blocking balls and keeping the ball in front of him.

Both of McNeese's runs last night came off of wild pitches with men on third base that Garza blocked at an angle rather than squaring up his shoulders to keep the ball in front of him.

Yeah, and as much as some on here loved to bitch about Pap, neither of the present catchers are in his league blocking balls and throwing down. Even his bat came alive and started showing pop. That Maxwell base stealing sequence at UGA was just awful. I had hopes for Garza, but a knee at that position is rough to get into heavy use like over a weekend and his hitting has been inept vs better starters. Mathis was starting to show some upside at the plate and now he just looks really uncomfortable. I don't know that the position will be remotely one of strength even 6 weeks from now. Combine that with the inability to find a significantly better combo to replace two ongoing weak bats from the 2018 lineup does not really bring me any joy.
