6-1 235 with the ability to cover.
if Lou Tepper coulda got a hold of him....oh boy. Terrance obryant woulda been looking over his shoulder.
These tweeners can wreck an offense.
Think about Marcell Brooks being able to play safety and coming down to blitz while Stephens can drop in coverage.
This is how you beat Tua and Lawrence. They will dissect a base defense with no confusion. They must be kept to guessing.

Agreed, Brometheus.
Stevens listed at 6'2" on the roster, btw...I know we like our measurements.

Nice work on this. Your list shows 80 scholarship players without the Special Teamers and the 6 additional signing spots we have open. We may also get Ed Ingram back.
I'm going to list a few guys that may be potential transfer out guys, based on their classification and lack of playing time / impact -
WR J Giles
TE Moss
TE J Pettigrew
OL D Campbell
OL J Savage
OL A Magee
RB - Fournette
LB R Thornton
LB A Anthony
DE J Thomas
DE N Farell
I don't have any inside information. It's just a numbers game, for me. I would expect 6 or 7 of these guys to move along. If D White comes back and if we get Ed Ingram back, it'll be 8 or 9. But it's normal and understandable.
And, it's nice to see numbers on the Offensive and Defensive Lines again.

We currently have 89 scholarship guys. This includes the 19 signees from December.

I'd personally be shocked if Neil Farrell didn't transfer.
Seriously, though, we better develop Pettigrew...he had a lot of major offers.

Why? I'd be shocked if he DID transfer. If Lawrence leaves for the NFL, Farrell might start for us, depending on where we play Feheko. But regardless, he's one of our top 3 DEs.

I was just kidding...no idea why he's listed in that other post as a possible transfer candidate.

Gotcha. It's a pretty strange list.
I just thought you guys knew something I didn't with regard to Farrell.

If you're trying to use your depth chart to count scholarships, you're missing three others beyond the specialists.
Devin White, Ed Ingram and Tyler Taylor are all still on scholarship until further notice.
We're at 89 right now. 70 returning players and 19 signees.

I know it's a longshot, but I really hope White comes back. If he comes back, that defense will be a monster. I think you can move Stingley up to at least a co-starter. I have heard nothing on Dare's progress on the Oline. I hope anybody that has please post it here. I don't see T.K. starting. He is a very athletic dude, but he must learn the playbook. If Kardell comes in a few pounds lighter, he will be starting once he learns the playbook. Marcel Brooks is going to play and play a lot. I don't know where exactly he will start off playing (OLB, CB, S) but he will be on the field a lot. He may not be a starter but he will pass up some dudes on the depth chart. The same goes for TY Davis. He will pass up some dudes on the depth chart and get into the RB rotation. LSU may have a 4 RB rotation next season. People may forget about Curry, but he is a very good back. The battle for that starting spot will be the most interesting battle in preseason camp. It will be very hard for Clyde to hold off Emery for that starting spot. I don't think it will be long before Marshall overtakes Jefferson for that starting spot. Jefferson has lapses in concentration. He drops far too many balls. Marshall won't drop passes like that. If Shelvin comes in overweight someone will get that spot over him. I see Ika playing a lot as well.

will Ray Parker sign with the Tigers

Dare has to start somewhere.
Why? Same measurables as Deculus, and Deculus was rated higher, has another year in the program, and beat him out this past year. I don’t put a lot of stock in ratings for individual players; I only bring it up because I doubt we have anything else to go on with Dare.
Further, to the OP, Magee is not beating out Hines, and Sullivan/Dillon are not beating out Marshall.

Dare was moved to offense during the season. I don't think it's reasonable to have expected a true freshman to change positions during the season and beat out a guy who's been on campus nearly 2 years.

Dare Rosenthal was moved to OT the first week of September. I think he’ll end up an outstanding OT but I doubt he’ll be the starter when we line up against Ga. State. He also has to get out of the dog house. He was suspended from the team for the Fiesta Bowl for “breaking team rules”. He needs to get on the straight and narrow before anything else.
