If you want to blame Les Miles and the staff for something, blame them for the shitshow 2012 recruiting class which lead to the terrible defense that year.

Wtf is your point and why are you posting this?

My point is simply to say changes are needed in coaching and offensive philosophy. I know most people realize this but some bring up last year’s success on offense to defend Cam Cameron and Les by saying “look what they can do with a better QB” and “only if we had this years defense on last year team” I’m saying that last year we were not as successful on offense as we should have been and more talent helps but does not fix LSU’s offensive problems. Just look at what LSU’s talent from last year is doing in the NFL today. We will not have that again and if we do we can expect an offense ranked 6th in the SEC again.

You're wasting your time. I've seen this exact argument had on here about 5 times in the last 2-3 weeks. A few of them even had the link you shared.

It's sad for the team that people want to tear down the best offense I've ever seen for the sake of their argument against Cameron and Miles. I pity that they weren't able to enjoy that or give it its proper place in Tiger lore.

If they want to live in a vacuum of total offense and scoring offense, you should just let them. This argument has been defeated time and time again and won't go away.

They want a Top 10 Offense and a Top 5 ranking like Baylor, Oregon, or Ohio State. They don't look at Marshall, Washington State, or Western Kentucky and realize that the two are separable and that one doesn't translate directly to the other.

So if I "adjust" the offense then we finish near the top, eh? How exactly do you adjust for "pace"? Do you simply add plays and yards and scores even though it is our offense that can't run them in a normal 60 minute game?

Or you look at things like ypc, yards per pass, third down %, efficiency stats, etc.

Why is it better to run more plays on offense? How can you get more yards if your offense is seeing shorter fields? How can you control the pace of your opponents?

Saints clearly have the 2nd best offense in the NFL this year by your standards

I dug this up for kicks and perspective. The crazy thing is the number of 3rd and 10 plus yards that we completed. The question is, why did we have so many in the first place with all of that talent?
