I actually think Del Piero's eligibility is up after this year so we'll be in a real bind then

And what are the real chances of actually adding another body to this roster besides walk-ons from the band or football team?

Are you honestly asking what the odds are that we sign someone in the spring period?!

100%. They may not meet your particular standards, but to think that we won't sign anyone is ridiculous.

I think the only Mr. Basketball's we have gotten are Tasmin Mitchell, Glen Davis, Lester Earl, D-Mitch, and Stro

Brady did a nice job overlooking Paul Millsap and could't get Tweety Carter.

Can't believe still we missed out on Greg Monroe...Markel Brown is a meh player, nothing special.

That all being said I have not a damn clue why TJ refuses to offer Dee Wagner. The kid has put up great numbers at PG for a 4A school, and we have a ton of scholarships to give...why not? Yeah his only big school offer is Arkansas, but he has a ton of mid-major offers. When you're in position to take chances, TAKE THEM.

I dunno that Wagner would switch his commit anyway

It's always worth a shot vs. not trying. I hate how inept TJ is on the recruiting trail. Wagner isn't signed yet.

Personally, I'd hate to take another undersized guard. Even if we got this guy how much of a difference he'd make?

I've barely heard much of Wagner.

You got to be at least a decent player to get Mr. Basketball in the state. If he's that he's worth a scholarship when we have 5 left to give out. We have nobody to backup Hickey at PG with Bass leaving other than letting Stringer be a "ball handler" for 5-8 minutes a game to relieve Hickey. We have a decent PG at minimum right in our backyard that TJ is ignoring. Who cares if he's undersized? He's a PG, not a SG like Stringer and on top of that we have literally ZERO offers out to any other PG right now so we have no other options.

How on earth was Trent able to recruit the Stanford twins? Were they from the previous coaching regime?

As much bitching as people do about how small our current guards are now, I bet heads would explode if we signed Wagner.

Honestly, I don't think he's an SEC level player. Arkansas only offered him at the last minute when they lost some players. I predict he ends up transferring to somewhere like La. Tech, which is where he probably should go in the first place.

That was pretty much my fear right there. We have already brought in guys that have not exactly worked out in the 2009, and 2010 recruiting classes. I would hate to see us bring in more guys like that.

The thing is we have FIVE scholarships left to give out right now, it's not like we're in a numbers crunch.

If we're giving out all 5 schollies we aren't finding 5 SEC quality guys with the signing period starting next week. It's just a shame that it looks like Trent's tenure is going to end with the same issues as Brady's.
