Because he knows how to coach when he has a QB that wasn't developed by him.

It's still wrong.

While Crowton sucks at developing QBs, his system is flat out terrible. People think he's great with "developed" QBs, but the truth is he's effective in his first year at a program with a developed QB which prevents him for implementing his system.

Crowton is the problem and, with any luck, he'll be gone at the end of this year.

He's never been in a situation with a developed QB coming in four years after he's been there.

Man, I get what you're saying, and it still doesn't make sense.

Because most programs are smart enough to fire him after a few years of watching his terrible offense.

no way Les Miles benches two senior QBs for a new guy.

If anyone honestly believes this I have ocean front property in Kansas to sell them.

I'd like to see what Jefferson or Lee could do with a competent offensive coordinator.

There's some contextual ambiguity there. Do you think the statement is unbelievable, or the fact that CLM will bench JJ and Lee?

Because I believe the latter is truly unbelievable...unless Mettenberger is the second coming of Matt Stafford.

Matt stafford wasn't that good IMO.

But my opinion is that les would never bench 2 senior qb's for a juco qb transfer that has not put in the "time" into the program that lee and Jefferson have.

Mett could be the second coming of Joe Montana but I don't buy that he'd be the starter over the other two.

Miles will keep running the two qb system next year.

You really think he'll start?

I don't know how good he is, so I honestly have no informed opinion as to whether or not he should start.

I seriously doubt, however, that he will start--unless he has on hell of a spring.

I'm not sure.

I know he's a more skilled QB than either of the two we have now.

He gets here in the spring, so he'll have a better chance to grasp the new offense (I'm assuming Gary is gone).

New OC means less loyalty to any players.

I don't know if he can come in and take the starting job from JJ or not, but it wouldn't shock me if it happened.

But a new OC may be able to make major strides with Jefferson too.

Agreed. Except for the fact that we both know that Stafford was the best pure passer in the SEC in some time.
