The most talented with most swagger but too flawed at quarterback.

No - you drop the big game and you are not the best even for that year let alone in your history.

The 2006 team would have likely been National Champions in a playoff-type system.

I also think the 2005 and 2007 teams were better than the 2006 team.

we lost b/c of bad karma.
Karma is a law in Hinduism which maintains that every act done, no matter how insignificant, will eventually return to the doer with equal impact.

we lost b/c our qb kicked a guy in the face while he was down. 25 members of the team didn't see nuttin.

everybody played like it didn't happen.

except jl.

I've never seen an LSU football team dominate for 13 games like the 2011 squad.

Best LSU team I've ever seen.

I compair them to the undefeated Patriots team that lost to the NY Giants in the Super Bowl. They just didn't get it done.

Looking at it objectively we were victims of circumstance. Really all college football teams are with the BCS system. November 5th was supposed to be it. We win, thats it, inside track to the game

That happened. It's what happened around us that changed everything and aint it just a bitch that really the only team, ONLY team in the country that was not only built to stop and beat LSU, a team that had already lost to LSU, got put into the big game...because of circumstance.

It sucks. Losing sucks. You have to look at it with some perspective though.

Underrated post!

I think the 2007 team may have been better than 2003.

So what about bama? Do you consider them the best last year? They had a weaker schedule, didn't win their division or conference.

Didn't finish strong. Still prefer the 2003 team imo.

Why? 2003 lost 1 game.

bama was a better team than us this year. Better chemistry, and better coaching with slightly equal talent.

Better team chemistry and better leaders ie the qb. plus they have a Chrystal beating a good OU team.

And it was at home, as a 12 point favorite. And we got beat in that game against Florida similarly to the defeat against Bama in this year's BCS game. 2003 and 2011 are pretty comparible in that the only weakness on both of those teams was at QB.
