Losing what we lost to the draft has cost us more than we all realized.
As a coach, you have to try to change that. We have guys leaving early that don't get drafted at all or barely get drafted.
Meanwhile, Bama's two team leaders on offense and defense (AJ McCarron and Mosley) are seniors that could have been drafted early last year. And Mosley would have been an easy first rounder last year.

McCarron would not have been drafted very high last year and isn't viewed as an elite NFL prospect. The only thing that makes him stand out is his record and rings, and in that way he is helping his limited stock tremendously by playing this year.
Mosley would have been a late first to mid second round pick for sure though. He's clearly an exceptional young man that should be commended for your wanting to continue his success at Bama.
He did have a scary injury on 1/9 that may have convinced him to get his degree because you're always one play away from being done. I'd imagine that was a big factor in his decision process.

So, when you find one better than Saban, go after him.
We're not going to find a better coach than Saban. The solution is to find a better coach than Miles. LSU has ridden Miles as far as he could carry us. It's time to change horses.

McCarron had already played for two years and led his team to two NCs. Not much has changed. He would have been drafted last year and will be drafted this year. He came back though and that was huge for Bama.

Mosley was ranked at #25 on ESPN's draft list last year. He likely would have been a 1st rounder or early 2nd rounder. His return was also huge for Bama. He was all over LSU last night.

You think discipline is a hallmark of a les miles team? Lulz.

This is sad because I believe Les Miles is a good man and in his way, loves LSU
I agree with most of your post.
But once again, why the frick do people say this? WHAT is the fricking basis to make this statement?
People at Michigan don't say this. People at Colorado, the Cowboys and Okie St. don't say this.
Why do LSU fans feel compelled to give Mile$ a character reference each time they comment on his mediocre coaching abilities?
And as for Le$ loving LSU? Please, he loves $$$, and LSU has been stupid enough to buy into the complete MYTH that some other top-tier program would actually hire Mile$. Le$ and his agent have played LSU like a banjo since he got here.
