Taking the A&M off of LSU isn't lying about who we are. Leaving the @ Lafayette off is lying. You are not THE University of Louisiana. Is it really that hard??

as MANY have pointed out, we are LSU AND A&M. Which means we are LSU. Let's say Billy and Bob went hunting. Would it be incorrect to say Billy went hunting? No it would not, because he did in fact go hunting. And LSU and A&M is in fact LSU. Yes, they are an Ag and Mech college, but they are also Louisiana State University.

Saying UL is incorrect because there are multiple branches of the UL system and ULL is not THE UL.

You are wrong. All ULL fans are wrong. You will not listen. You will continue to argue as will many others. That does not change the fact that it has been proven that LSU is LSU and that ULL is ULL. No amount of twisted logic will change this. Shut up, GTFO and deal with it!

Being an A&M college does not therein make it your official designation. And as posted by someone else, you are barred by the legislature from attempting to designate yourself as just UL or U of L, or any other attempt to assert yourself as the main campus of the system. Meanwhile, we are actually recognized as LSU.

Nothing you say or do will change the fact that you aren't and cannot legally be called UL.

I’m not going to ignore your post. Myself and every true UL fan can care less what the state says and the law it wrote. We call ourselves UL. And I am willing to bet you that within 5 – 10 years everyone but yourself will be calling us that………. Because we all know that most every state official has some connection to LSU and they don’t want any other university in the state to look better than LSU.

I think you have just about enough evidence to take this issue to the Help Board and have his username changed to ULLRaginCajun

Have you ever noticed that when you actually have a game on ESPN or another sports network they also refer to you as ULL or UL-Lafayette? You're not fooling anyone.

It's the flagship, its in BR, it's heads and shoulders above ULL in academics and athletics, has great national recognition, and does world-class research...so yeah, it behooves the state to protect it. Why would the state government pass legislation that would weaken one of its best assets for a high risk gamble in furthering some ULL fanatics' obsessions? It doesn't make sense.

So yes, continue with your campaign. In the end, LSU will still be the benchmark by which all others are measured in LA, and you'll still be the only ones calling yourselves, "ULL." (Unless the state mans up and makes you honor the LAW.)
