damn $3.25 must have been sideline seats. I remember adult tickets in the SEZ costing $3 until at least late 60's. Then i remember them going up to $5 at some point. don't remember when though. I say adult tickets because back then there were tickets labeled "high school or younger" for $1 in the SEZ upper deck which was then called "the family section". I went on those $1 tickets until i was mid 20's

My dad has (or had if my mom had anything to say about it) all of his ticket stubs since 1958 or 1959. 40something years of ticket stubs...

I'll have to ask about those next time I'm at their house.

you mean about the family section?

the SEZ upper deck was opened in 1953 as the family section. my grandmother was the original holder of 11 books of tickets when it opened. my brothers and i went on $1 tickets when we were kids which were about half the size of the adult tickets. We still have 6 of the 11 in the same seats. They were put in my name in 1983.

In the same vein does anyone remember when baseball tickets in the late 80's and until 1992 were $30 per grandstand season ticket for 35 games? I can tell you thats what they cost me when i first began attending LSU baseball. They went up to $60 the season following the first naional championship.

I was sitting in the opposite end zone bleachers. When I saw them moving, thought I just had too much to drink. Fortunately, no serious injuries.

Found some history on this big game:

But the one constant at Ladd-Peebles Stadium has been football. Following that Alabama-Vanderbilt contest in 1948, the Crimson Tide would go on to play 18 more games at the stadium over the next 20 years posting an 10-7-2 mark.

Most notable among the Tide's games in Mobile was the 1958 season-opener against LSU, a contest that holds the distinction of being the first game that legendary head coach Paul "Bear" Bryant ever coached at Alabama. While LSU pulled away late on a touchdown run by Heisman Trophy winner Billy Cannon, the night was made even more unforgettable for the sellout crowd in attendance when a section of the stadium's end zone stands collapsed during the game. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured

^^This will make the stubs very valuable to collectors. Seriously. Some people collect milestone tickets of famous players/coaches.

You need to pack your bags, get on a plane to Vegas and take it to the Pawn Stars.
