If they put anyone else in the south endzone for a big game they will be sitting on someones lap. As it is we are packed in like sardines.

Only allow students in weighing less than 100 lbs. and double the capacity. Solved.

A few years back (early 2000's), LSU oversold the student section and they had people sitting in the aisles all the way up to the scoreboard which was a definite safety hazard. There were numerous complaints from season ticket holders adjacent to the student section. LSU replied that they would not oversell again and they haven't to my knowledge.

The head architects have already started planning the bowling in of one of the ends. I forget which end he told me.

Agreed - I sit in the SEZ so I get a good look at the north end of the stadium.

Question - is that because the full allowance of students showed up only for the UF game OR (more likely) as things settled in some just decided to migrate to a less congested area so it no longer appeared bald?

I still think the same problem the fire marshals set out to correct after the '83 UW game still exists but of a slightly less magnitude.

Are the steps maintained clear for the most congested areas of the SS?

which bald spot is everyone referring to here?

The one at the very top (sections 236 & 237) is very understandable. However, the section where the band used to sit, is NEVER full. There is a perfect outline of that section you can see from anywhere in the stadium. That section is dedicated to grad students, most of which don't really care about LSU athletics. I actually have friends that sit there, and several of them wore Florida garb to the game this year. I say if they don't use the tickets, don't sell them to the grad students.

And FWIW, TS will not hold 100,000 for a football game unless we expand.

the band didnt used to sit there. Also, many of the students with reserved tickets simply choose to sit in the regular student section.

um, no. That section has been the reserve student section for quite a while. the band sat below this section.

no, the band used to sit in front of that, if you are talking about where the non BR campuses tickets sit

The game in question was the Arkansas game in '03. I have Season tickets in section 237 adjacent to the student section along with about 20 of my closest friends. Section 236 does hold reserved tickets for Dental Students. They NEVER show up!! Beginning in the 2001 season, LSU began selling tickets in section 236 to the general public for the Arkansas game because a great number of students are gone for Thanksgiving Break. The complaint for us season ticket holders next to that section was to open it up to season ticket holders first and then the General Public. I have 6 Season tickets. 4 in 237 and 2 in the West Upper. I have been on the upgrade list for a decade now, and it really chapped my arse in 03 when they sold that section to the General Public and not season ticket holders first, because you get a bunch of fairweather fans that start crap!! To the original question, Tiger Stadium will not hold over 100K!! We were jammed in there for the UF game this year!!
