re: 10 things wrong at LSU (players not on any list)

I think one thing is passion on the player's part. Have we seen consistent passion on the player's part this year, no. We saw it against Alabama and Auburn but where else have we seen it. Where are the players getting in each others faces when we give up thirty yards or when our offensive line gets dominated like today and against Florida? That is the main thing wrong with LSU this year. That my friends is on the leadership from within the players.

1- fans are not as hungry this year. LSU fans are amoung the most passonate in the country with out a doubt. With that, come alot of negativity.
2- Agreed, Coaches are bad right now
3- How does the CBS anouncers have anything to do with what is wrong at LSU?
4- I think we should have a clause that states that we get one CBS night game a year for historical reasons.
5-I dont really care about piped in music at certain points.
6- Agreed
7- I don't think that booing at lsu is any worse than anywhere else in the country in these situations. Bad year.
8- Disagree. I dont think there is anything wrong with the lights.
9- LSU's post game traffic is nothing compared to some other schools in the SEC.
10- People are just afraid that the program is going in the wrong direction and we are helpless to fix it. And after tonight, I can't say we arn't going in the wrong direction.

2- Coaches- This team did not want to play today. This team has not been well prepared all year. Get Better!
3- Announcers- Besides the fact you screw up calls left and right you criticize LSU and spin a negative tone every listener heras. Tonight after the game.."It won't be easier next year. Bama is on top, Auburn will get better, Ole Miss has arrived and Arkansas will get turned around". Give me the damned grape Koolaid now you asswipes! I hate you negative aholes!
4-CBS games played at 2:30pm in Tiger stadium. Negates any TS advantage and those of us who live far away have to endure Lunquits and Danielson.
5- Piped in music in the stadium. 1 word= "Sucks"
6-Expectations set so high no team could possibly achieve it. Anyone recall what Florida did after winning the NC in 2006? .. 4 loses. Anyone know how LSU has fared after losing the starting QB from the year before? Outside of 2007 (Flynn was damned good as a back up as the starting QB was #1 draft pick) we have not done well the following year. 2002- 5 loses, 2004- 3 loses.
7-Booing players... If you feel entitled to boo college players go ahead and boo HS players and little league too.
8-Lights in Tiger Stadium- Suck.. Very dim. Spend some money on new lights.
9- Traffic in and out of TS. Sux! Need a plan.
10-Lack of appreciation for what we have at LSU. We have been very successful the last 10 years. 3- SEC titles, 2 NC's, 4 SEC title games, 6 bowl games and 6 bowl victories.
Added bonus.. All the Chicken little bastards saying we are doomed for failure. May be we are but let us that don't know it yet hold out hope a little longer.
Sorry if I offended anyone.
Agree with you on # 2,4,5,8 and 9.
I don't care for Hawthorne, but he's just tellin it like it is in regards to the SEC not getting any easier next year. You sound like one of those cheerleaders that can't handle the truth........

What is his point? Peparing us to lose as many games next year? We have two games left. Save your commentary crap for the last game if you have to give it. We (the fans) know all about the SEC and don't need "Jack Hunt Scores" to tell us the rigors of the SEC. I can handle the negativity if he didn suck so bad as a play by play. If Hawthorn were an D coordinator he would depend on a drop linebacker.

Hey, they'll be jumping off the bandwagon this year. You won't see them next year, they probably don't like spending money on good seats to go see a team lose. They can't quite stomach it. So frick them.

5- Piped in music in the stadium. 1 word= "Sucks"
Sometime in the 2nd half, when the band had already left their seats, they started playing that shite - and it got the crowd fired up. This pisses me off - the only thing that can get our crowd fired up is piped in bullcrap now.

Don't worry about that - we're doomed to a life of 2:30 kickoffs from now on out. May as well sell the lights.

More like we are doomed to 1130 or whatever Raycom games, that's if we get any TV at all.

especially with some schools in the 20-30K/yr range too. heck there are plenty of people that work 40hr/week and only make about that much.
USC/Tulane $30-35K(tuition only).

little league players don't have boosters
Soo... its OK to boo college players - because they have boosters. So do high school teams - I guess its Ok to boo them, too.
Ok. got it.

Nah...Les saw the outrage at every half decent home game being on CBS so he took it upon himself to "bring back the magic" and 7 PM kickoffs. That is why we are losing the games.

not to be a debbie downer......
but the original poster mentioned that in the last 10 years we have 6 bowl appearances and 6 victories......
pretty sure (even tho it was a hail mary) we lost to Iowa in Jan '05 (Saban's last game at LSU)

1. They go to school for free, don't you thin other students would love to have that luxury. They have a GREAT athletic center and MANY other perks that are not afforded to ALL college students. So in a way, they do get paid just not directly in cash.
2. Agree that coaching is bad but most fans will bash anyone that states this and consider them a band-wagoner. The HC is to blame because he is in charge of the ship.
3. Don't get mad because comments were made that you don't agree with. He is stating the obvious. Bama is definitely MUCH better and are well-coached and disciplined. Auburn had a horrible year and can only improve next season, the talent is there. Ole Miss has improved with their new coach and should have proved that to you yesterday. Arkansas may prove to be better than us next week, so stand-by for that assessment. We did not dominate 1 team in our division. We won't even worry about the other division.
4. Please don't cry about what time we play. If we can't beat them at 2:30pm, we probably can't beat them 5 hrs later either. As long as the opponents have better players or are better coached, it doesn't matter what time of day OR night it is. Stop being ridiculous.
5. Your opinion, everyone is entitled to one. You should subscribe to this philosophy.
6. No they are not! Fans can take losses, but they want to see heart and passion at least. Teams scoring 50+ twice in the same season, defense being torched when that is supposedly the definition of this team, and watching a QB throw pick after pick without even the slightest attempt to let another QB even get a reasonable chance will not be tolerated by any fan base. Get Real!
7. Players should not be booed but it goes with the territory. LSU is not the ONLY fan base that has done this, does this, or will do this. IT HAPPENS! Look at the post about Notre Dame fans throwing f'ing snowballs at their team for losing to Syracuse.
8. That's why we need to win more games, so we can see better bowls and make more $$$ for the athletic department. That truly is the focus of major programs, not developing character and all that. Its sad but true, its a business.
9. 90,000 fans trying to leave at the same time, tends to cause major congestion. What would you suggest? I've been to events with 1000 people that were congested. Stop complaining about something that is a problem EVERYWHERE.
10. Generally this is the reason programs decline. They get complacent about PAST accomplishments. SEE Alabama. Nobody currently cares about their NC title count or SEC titles, just what they are doing now. Last year, we really didn't care about their history.

Well yesterday a PIPED IN song ended and then you heard our band for about 5 seconds .. so it's covering our band too.

That is embarrassing. Why don't we just not let the band come or give them seats in the nose bleed?
With that said, I feel like visiting teams get way better seats in Tiger Stadium than most teams get elsewhere. Unless our fans don't travel as well as most other teams travel here. Ole Miss fans were definitely having a great time. Piped in music didn't stop that.

when you hear a boo, dont think of it as booing the players think of it as the fans really want les to go away

11. Dan Borne never shuts the hell up! I know he's just doing his job, but the non-stop advertising to a captive audience has gotten completely out-of-hand.
