That’s not even in the same realm of things. That’s like saying the corner back is terrible so let’s put the Center there. He can do it.

I’m not disagreeing with you. I guess I’m saying/comparing that our needing a catcher is similar to duke needing a post man or minn needing a goalie.
ETA both of those college teams always have dominant arse backups better than lost team’s starters.

You know a catcher does wayyyyy more than hit and catch. And how much we need the pitching staff to be on point, putting someone else back there doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

Catcher options:

Mathis
Garza- still injured, cant catch a whole game
Willis- still injured cant catch.
Bianco- emergency catcher only/his hitting isn’t much better
Doughty- walk on that will never see meaningful PT

You keep looking at the here and now. Regardless of scholarship limits, the LSU brand should always carry a staff that, backup or not, could start for half of the conference.

So now you can control who is injured and who isn’t.

Excuse my cynicism but do we even know what these injuries entail?

Do you even understand how fallacious this is?

Garza had knee surgery
Willis had shoulder surgery

Both are documented.

For the record. Neither my mom nor my dad is still living. Thanks for the reminder. Very recent.

So we’ve gone from the premiere program in the country to the most infirmary program in the country?

I’m sure if they were still here they’d tell you that you were being a dumbass anyway. Telling me I’m a dick, which I already know, is no way to win an argument.

There’s no way winning an argument with a dumbass like you. Logic isn’t something that’s in your mind.

To bash something and not have a solution is certainly not a way to win it either.

Think you forgetting that the kid shattered his thumb last season. Not an easy injury to come back from which was apparent by his struggle when he returned. He was brought back the day his cast came off and played with virtually no rehab. 2 broken bones that required surgery to cut ligament to get to spot to place 2 plates and 5 screws that are still in there. You might want to give the dude a break.
