08 Clock Gate didn't Hurt Recruiting, Why will This?

The year after the Ole Miss debacle, and a 8-4 season, LSU had the #1 recruiting class in the nation! (Shep, Mo, RR, Montgomery, Brockers)
I know this was a CLM debacle on a much bigger stage... but why will this have such a devasating effect on LSU?
We have a ton of talent coming back and a great recruiting class already. We will be fine.

It wont. The 13 straight dominating wins (except Bama), SEC Champs... Most everybody coming back and a new QB, the past two seasons 12-1, 13-1, is pretty impressive and will continue to pull talent.
