Where to watch in Austin?

Posted by 4EverLSU11 on 1/14/12 at 11:50 am
I went to Shoal Creek last week, it was pretty calm. Are there any places with a younger, more lively crowd?

Who Dat!
I take back everything negative I ever said about T-Bob's performance as an O-linement.

This is awesome.

When Les won his BCS championship, he went with his gut feeling several times with high-risk moves and play calls and it worked a lot more often than it didn’t.

This is a valid point. We take for granted the very high risk, often ridiculous when you think about it, plays that CLM has called in the past.

Of course I'd a been plenty happy if he would have tried something crazy, even had it failed... just to know he was thinking about ways wo win, instead of the blank stare he had most of the game.

Either way, it was only one game and I for one would be very upset if Les were to leave. I'll take the tons of good we have gotten from CLM, over the very few bad.
The year after the Ole Miss debacle, and a 8-4 season, LSU had the #1 recruiting class in the nation! (Shep, Mo, RR, Montgomery, Brockers)

I know this was a CLM debacle on a much bigger stage... but why will this have such a devasating effect on LSU?

We have a ton of talent coming back and a great recruiting class already. We will be fine.
I wonder if he will say..

"Failing to prepare is preparing to fail"

T-Bob really shouldn't even factor into this, though

I agree. But Bobby IS factoring him into this. He is making it about T-Bob claiming "his son" had more knockdown blocks than anyone else. It's laughable that he is trying to act like this all about Miles and the loss.

I'd be more convinced if or Jordy or even Hawthorne were going around bashing CLM, but Bobby is just a parent.

IMO he is looking like the parent in little league mad b/c their son didn't get to play as much as the guys on the team that were better than him.

Golic even knew it. He knew the answer was YES when he asked "do you have anything personal against Les Miles."

And enough about T-Bob winning the game against Tennessee with the snap. Every player has a moment of greatness if they play long enough. He wasn't a very good Offensive linemen, so he didn't play. Bobby is just looking like a cry baby now.

What does Bobby Hebert hope to gain?

Listeners.

Dude is going straight Nancy Grace mode right now parading around bashing CLM. He is LSU's coach, and the dude has kept us as an elite program for many years now, and we only seem to be getting stronger on a yearly basis.

This kind of negative attention will do nothing but hurt LSU... But it will definitely help his ratings.
Of course I am joking.

Didn't know his history with Crowton at BYU either.

It's all Andrew Hatch's Fault!!!

Posted by 4EverLSU11 on 1/11/12 at 10:08 pm
Had he not gotten hurt early in 08, JL and JJ both woth have had time to develop, and and MAYBE be ready for when it was their turn instead of being thrown in the pit!

And... and... MAYBE one of them would have established themselves as the guy right away and maybe the other would have transferred, and we wouldn't have had a controversy at all this year!

It allllll goes back to the transfer from Harvard!! (dude has a Wikipedia page, by the way)

C'mon guys, we got outcoached and got our asses kicked. We're gonna be damn strong next year, and might even find ourselves back in the BCSNC against USC... and all hell will break loose.

But, for now it's all on Hatch!
I guess my initial wording wasn't clear.

I was referring to his O-line play.

Here's the thing though Bobby...

T-Bob isn't the greatest of O-linemen.

It's hard to criticize line play...

Posted by 4EverLSU11 on 1/11/12 at 1:20 pm
Because it's not as obvious when they make mistakes and in most cases we really don't know what they were SUPPOSED to do.

But having said that, I can say with FULL confidence...

Our O-Line played the WORST game I've ever seen.

Having read all this JJ criticism (and agreeing with it), the line (Hurst in particular) need to be recognized equally for how bad they performed. They say the men in the trenches don't get the recognition they deserve for a great rushing attack, or big throwing numbers.

Well I'd like to give them their due recognition on Monday, for absolutely tanking.

Where does the "Shovel Pass" Rank?

Posted by 4EverLSU11 on 1/11/12 at 10:50 am
In the list of "Awful Plays, Given the Situation"

Although this was awful no matter what the situation was...

I just watched the GIF of the "shovel pass" on Page 1 and after vomiting, I just realized something...

Even if Ware is ready for it, the pitch wasn't even close! It wasn't even an accurate shovel-pitch-pass!

frick!
I was scared to read another analysis, especially b/c I woke up this morning and felt somewhat normal again. But yours was right on.

I laughed out loud on the 3rd down call to Copeland. I realized at that time that we had given up.

And as far as the JJ audibles goes. Does he enjoy handing off the ball? Throwing bubble screens? Did he think that these plays were working?

He HAD to know back-to-back bubble screens wouldn't work. Why not just say? "Screw it" and change the play call to something, I don't know, fun!

I played QB in high school and can attest to the fact that you don't dream of playing QB to throw bubble screens. You want to throw it deep. JJ hid behind the play calls and made sure he stayed in the game as long as possible.

The Rant today...
